Radio Lollipop 2009

Transperth staff and passengers have been active in supporting Radio Lollipop for more than 10 years, with all funds collected from our annual Uniform Free Day (UFD) going directly to this fantastic cause.

This year, support for our UFD held in March, was stronger than ever with a record breaking $63,930.25 donated. Transperth would like to say a big thank you to all our passengers for their continued support and generosity.

Lollipop stands for “Lots of Love and Laughter in Place of Pain” and supports children in hospital. Children have their own radio station, as well as lots of games and activities to entertain them throughout their hospital stay. Radio Lollipop is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, and the funds raised from the UFD play a key role in helping them entertain the kids at time when they need laughter the most.

Transperth staff will be out in fancy-dress-force again in 2010 in support of Radio Lollipop and the valuable service they provide.
