Transperth’s new ferry needs a name competition

Terms and Conditions

1. By entering the competition, entrants shall be deemed to agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

2. This competition is only open to residents residing in Western Australia.

3. Each suggested name for the ferry can only be submitted once, however entrants may submit as many different suggestions as they wish.

4. The promotion commences on Monday 2 March 2009.
Entries will be accepted on and from Monday 2 March 2009 until 5pm [WST] on Monday 16 March 2009. Submissions sent by post must be received by last mail on Monday 16 March 2009.

5. The prize of a SmartRider to the value of $500 will be provided to the prize winner on two SmartRider cards registered in the winner’s name.

6. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they store the SmartRider cards appropriately and in the event of losing one or both the SmartRider cards, it is their responsibility to hot-list the card/s and arrange transfer of credit to their new card.

7. The prize is not redeemable for cash and is non-transferable to another persons SmartRider card. Any additional costs or requirement associated with this prize is the winner’s responsibility.

8. The invitation to the official launch (date TBC) is for the winner and one guest, i.e. a total of two people.  Attendance at the launch, including any travel costs are the full responsibility of the winner

9. If the chosen name for the ferry has been submitted by more than one applicant, all applicants names will go into a draw and only one (1) applicant will receive the prize.

10. The draw will be conducted at:

Transperth,
Level 1, Public Transport Centre,
West Parade,
Perth WA 6000.

11. The prize winner will be notified shortly after the name has been selected and will be contacted by email or telephone.

12. The prize will be sent to the winner to their nominated residential address via registered post. If the winner prefers to collect the prize, they must collect their prize from the Security Desk at the Public Transport Centre, West Parade, Perth (located at the East Perth Station).
 
13. The winners are deemed to consent to Public Transport Authority (PTA) using their name for publicity purposes.

14. Participants agree to make themselves available for publicity purposes.

15. Employees of PTA, their associated agencies and their immediate families are eligible to enter.

16. In the event that an employee of PTA, an associated agencies or a member of their immediate families wins the prize, PTA will substitute an alternative prize of equal value.

17. PTA and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.

18. The Promoter is PTA, Public Transport Centre, West Parade, PERTH WA 6000.
