Event and ticket information 

Heading to Optus Stadium to see Fremantle v Adelaide? Your footy ticket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours before and after the event. Simply show your event ticket to the driver or inspector if asked.

Keep in mind you must have your footy ticket or membership on you to travel for no extra cost. If you're planning on collecting your ticket at the venue, you will need to pay a normal fare to get there.

Direct trains on the Fremantle and Joondalup lines, in addition to the Suburban Event Bus Network will operate to get you to and from the match.

Important: For this game there is a scheduled shutdown on the Midland and Airport Line. While train replacement buses will be operating during the shut, there may be a Suburban Event Bus that stops near you, see below for more information on getting to and from Optus Stadium.

Travel By Train

Train System Map

Direct trains on the Fremantle and Joondalup lines will operate to get you to and from the footy. 

Armadale Line trains stopping at Perth Stadium Station will depart Perth Station frequently from 6.00am, with direct trains departing Perth Station from 1.26pm.

 

Important: For this game there is a scheduled shutdown on the Midland and Airport Line. While train replacement buses will be operating during the shut, there may be a Suburban Event Network bus that stops near you.

To: Armadale Line trains stop at Perth Stadium Station frequently from approximately 7.18am.

From: Trains depart from Platform 5 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station.

The last train to Victoria Park departs at 12.07am.

 
 

To: Direct trains from Fremantle to Perth Stadium Station will be operating before the event between 2.17pm and 3.17pm. Alternatively, take a timetabled train to Perth, and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station.

From: Trains depart Platform 3 via the Western Concourse and travel express to City West then all stops to Fremantle for approximately 60 minutes after the game. If you're leaving early, or after this time, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Fremantle Line. 

 
 

To: Direct trains from Butler to Perth Stadium Station will be operating before the event between 1.35pm and 3.20pm. Alternatively, take a timetabled train to Perth, and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station.

From: Trains depart Platform 4 via the Western Concourse and travel express to Leederville then all stops to Clarkson or Butler for approximately 60 minutes after the game. If you're leaving early, or after this time, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Joondalup Line. 

 
 

To: Take a timetabled Mandurah Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station.

From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Mandurah Line. 

Travel By Bus

Stadium Station Bus Stand Allocations

Important changes:
 

Route 651 will not be stopping at Stop 10034 (Albany Hwy before Olga Rd, Maddington) for this event due to works on the Level Crossing Upgrade. Instead, the nearest alternative stop will be a temporary stop on Albany Hwy after Olga Rd. More information can be found here. 

Route 652 (Mirrabooka Bus St) and Route 653 (Morley Bus St) will depart from Matagarup Bridge bus stands. Passengers will need to walk across Matagarup Bridge to catch their bus after the event. 

Route 654 will not be stopping at Stop 15527, 15528 or 26668 for this event due to road closures in the area. Instead, the nearest alternative stop will be Stop 22084 (Marshall Rd before Cheltenham St, Bennett Springs) to Perth Stadium Bus Station and 22083 (Marshall Rd after Cheltenham St, Bennett Springs) to Ellenbrook Shopping Centre. More information can be found here.

Midland/Airport Line Passengers

During the shutdown of the Midland and Airport lines, your journey to Optus Stadium for the Good Friday match will be impacted. 

The following train replacement bus routes will be operating:

Route 901 - Midland Line

Operates between Midland and Perth Busport, stopping all stations. 

Route 902 - Airport Line

Operates between High Wycombe and Perth Busport, stopping all stations. 

Alternatively you can catch a train replacement bus to East Perth Station, then take a short walk across Windan Bridge to Optus Stadium.

While train replacement buses will be operating during the shutdown, there may be a Suburban Event bus that stops near you:

Departing frequently between 1.49pm and 3.44pm, stopping at designated Stadium Stops.

From Matagarup Bridge - STAND 4
Buses will operate for 45 minutes after the match.

Departing frequently between 1.27pm and 3.29pm, stopping at designated Stadium Stops.

From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 12 to 14

Service Disruptions  

  • ​Trains on the Airport Line between Perth and Claremont will be cancelled between approx. 6.07pm and 10.17pm. Fremantle Line trains will continue to operate between Perth and Claremont during this time. 
  • Trains will not stop at Claisebrook and McIver stations between approx. 6.25pm and 8.35pm.
  • The pedestrian crossing on Moore St will be non-operational between 2.15pm and 8.30pm. Pedestrians can use the McIver Station underpass at the east end of the station.
