Prohibited items on Transperth services

For a safer journey, the following items are prohibited: 

 Item
 Penalty 

 A controlled or prohibited weapon such as a knife, potato or BB gun.

 Between $200 and $2000 

 Car or other vehicle batteries.

 Between $50 and $200

 An explosive (such as fire crackers), gas (including gas bottles) or petrol (including jerry cans).

 Between $200 and $2000 

 Food and drinks

 Between $50 and $250

 A syringe other than a syringe used for medical reasons.

 Between $200 and $2000 

 A tool, device, substance or apparatus that is capable of graffiti or marking property such as a permanent marker, spray pain, screwdriver or stanley knife.

 Between $50 and $200 

 Loud audio devices. Always use earphones for audio devices and keep volume on a low level

 Between $50 and $250 

 Goods likely to spill, stain or damage the train such as white-out, glue, lawn mowers and pocket rockets, mini petrol or electric motorbikes

 Between $50 and $250 

 Animals and pets. Seeing guide dogs and hearing guide dogs in harness are permitted on Transperth services.
