Routes 23, 78, 79, 102 and 107 - proposed bus priority on Mounts Bay Rd

Transperth encourages passengers of routes 23, 78, 79, 102 and 107 to provide feedback on a bus priority proposal being undertaken by the Department of Planning.

The study focuses on the delivery of bus priority between the Esplanade Busport and Point Lewis Rotary along Mounts Bay Road. The provision of bus lanes along Mounts Bay Rd will provide faster and simpler connections between the University of Western Australia (UWA), Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEII) and Hollywood Private Hospital precincts, and the train and bus network hub at The Esplanade.

The study arises from the UWA/QEII/Hollywood Private Hospital Public Transport Master Plan issued by the Department of Planning and the Department of Health in August 2007.
The master plan highlighted the need for additional public transport to serve these major facilities, and provide faster and simpler connections between the precinct and the train network.
