Update: Perth Station access changes

Effective: Monday 9 January 2012

On Monday 9 January 2012 the Perth City Link Rail Alliance will begin work in Perth Station on stage one of the new pedestrian underpasses, which will connect all platforms to Perth Underground on one seamless level.

To build stage one, part of Perth Station’s Platform 5, from the Wellington Street entrance to under the Horseshoe Bridge, will close.  Passengers connecting between services will use a temporary passage located in front of the Perth Station building (see map). This will be in place until mid 2012.

The passage is very similar in length to the existing route via Platform 5.

The temporary walkway, connecting Platform 5 and Platform 6/7 in Perth Station, will also close to allow room to build the underpass.
