Phasing out MultiRider
When SmartRider is fully operational, the MultiRider ticketing system will be discontinued.
To make the transition to SmartRider easier for passengers, Transperth will phase out the MultiRider system as follows:
Staged replacement of MultiRider
1. Full introduction of SmartRider
- From 14 January 2007, SmartRider cards become available for purchase from Transperth InfoCentres and authorised SmartRider Retail Sales Outlets across the Perth metropolitan area.
- From 4 March 2007, MultiRiders will no longer be sold.
- SmartRider system will operate in parallel with the existing MultiRider system to allow passengers to use any remaining value on MultiRider tickets.
2. Withdrawal of MultiRider
- From 8 April 2007, MultiRider ticketing system will be withdrawn from use. Processors will be removed and MultiRider tickets will no longer be accepted on any Transperth bus, train or ferry service.
- Passengers who have any remaining value on their MultiRider will be able to transfer this value to their SmartRider card by completing a MultiRider Transfer form, available from 4 March 2007.
