Optus Stadium

Your ticket to the Test includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours either side of the match (special event buses will not be operating for the event). If asked, proudly show off your ticket to the driver or inspector. 

Keep in mind, you must have your ticket on you to travel for no extra cost. If you’re planning on collecting your ticket at the venue, you will need to pay a normal fare to get there.

Getting to and from Optus Stadium

Transperth operates an integrated public transport plan to connect event-goers with the Perth CBD and wider metropolitan area. 

Special event buses will not be operating for the event. All passengers are encouraged to read the following information and use the JourneyPlanner to find alternative transport options.

Thursday 12 and Friday 13 December

Travel by Train 

To get you to the match, Armadale Line trains stopping at Perth Stadium Station will depart Perth Station frequently from 8.22am, with direct trains stopping from 11.12am. 

Armadale Line To: Take the Armadale Line straight to Perth Stadium Station, trains run approximately every 15 minutes from 8.15am.
  From: Take the Armadale Line from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station. The last train departs at 11.07pm.
Thornlie Line To: Take the Thornlie Line straight to Perth Stadium Station, trains run approximately every 15 minutes from 8.16am.
  From: Take the Thornlie Line from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station. The last train departs at 10.52pm.
Fremantle Line To: There will be no direct Fremantle Line services operating before the match.
Take a timetabled Fremantle Line train to Perth and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 8.22am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 3 via the Western Concourse and travel express to City West then all stops to Fremantle between 8.47pm and 9.12pm*.
If you're leaving early, or after 9.12pm*, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.04pm. 
Joondalup Line To: There will be no direct Joondalup Line services operating before the match.
Take a timetabled Joondalup Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 8.22am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 4 via the Western Concourse and travel express to Leederville then all stops to Butler between 8.42pm and 9.17pm*, with some services terminating at Clarkson.
If you're leaving early, or after 9.17pm*, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Joondalup Line. The last connecting train departs Stadium Station at 11.04pm.
Mandurah Line To: Take a timetabled Mandurah Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a direct train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 8.22am.
  From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Mandurah Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.04pm. 
Midland Line To: Take a train to East Perth Station and walk over the Windan Bridge. See a map of the walking route.
Alternatively, take a Midland Line train to Perth Station and change to a Stadium shuttle on the Armadale Line.
  From: Walk over the Windan Bridge to East Perth Station, or take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse, and transfer to the Midland Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.04pm.

* Times are subject to change as a result of match overtime

Service Disruptions

Some services will be affected on Optus Stadium event days. 

  • The pedestrian and level crossing on Moore St will be non-operational between 5.00pm and 9.30pm. Pedestrians can use the McIver Station underpass at the east end of the station.
  • Trains on the Armadale and Midland lines will not stop at Claisebrook or McIver stations between approximately 7.41pm and 9.33pm. Train replacement buses will be operating during this time. Route 905 runs on a 10-minute frequency between Perth Busport and East Perth Station, stopping at Claisebrook, McIver and Perth stations and at Wellington St after Forrest Pl (Stop 12924). 

Saturday 14 December

Travel by Train 

To get you to the match, Armadale Line trains stopping at Perth Stadium Station will depart Perth Station approximately every 15 minutes from 7.45am, with direct trains stopping from 11.49am. 

Armadale Line To: Take the Armadale Line straight to Perth Stadium Station, trains run approximately every 15 minutes from 8.15am.
  From: Take the Armadale Line from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station. The last train departs at 12.07am.
Thornlie Line To: Take the Thornlie Line straight to Perth Stadium Station, trains run approximately every 15 minutes from 8.16am.
  From: Take the Thornlie Line from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station. The last train departs at 10.52pm.
Fremantle Line To: Direct specials depart Fremantle approximately every 15 minutes between 11.30am and 12.00pm. Alternatively, take a timetabled Fremantle Line train to Perth and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 7.45am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 3 via the Western Concourse and travel express to City West then all stops to Fremantle between 8.47pm and 9.12pm*.
If you're leaving early, or after 9.12pm*, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.19pm. 
Joondalup Line To: Direct specials depart Butler approximately every 15 minutes between 11.05am and 12.05pm. Alternatively,  take a timetabled Joondalup Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 7.45am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 4 via the Western Concourse and travel express to Leederville then all stops to Butler between 8.42pm and 9.17pm*, with some services terminating at Clarkson.

Fremantle Line

To: There will be no direct Fremantle Line services operating before the match.
Take a timetabled Fremantle Line train to Perth and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 7.45am.

 

From: There will be no direct Fremantle Line services operating after the match. 
Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Fremantle Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.19pm. 

Joondalup Line

To: There will be no direct Joondalup Line services operating before the match.
Take a timetabled Joondalup Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 7.45am.

 

From: There will be no direct Joondalup Line services operating after the match. 
Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Joondalup Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.19pm. 

Mandurah Line

To: Take a timetabled Mandurah Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a direct train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 7.45am.

 

From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Mandurah Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.19pm. 

Midland Line

To: Take a train to East Perth Station and walk over the Windan Bridge. See a map of the walking route.
Alternatively, take a Midland Line train to Perth Station and change to a Stadium shuttle on the Armadale Line.

 

From: Walk over the Windan Bridge to East Perth Station, or take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse, and transfer to the Midland Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 11.19pm.

Monday 16 December

Travel by Train 

To get you to the match, Armadale Line trains stopping at Perth Stadium Station will depart Perth Station frequently from 8.52am, with direct trains stopping from 11.40am. 

Armadale Line To: Take the Armadale Line straight to Perth Stadium Station, trains run approximately every 15 minutes from 8.28am.
  From: Take the Armadale Line from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station. The last train departs at 11.07pm.
Thornlie Line To: Take the Thornlie Line straight to Perth Stadium Station, trains run approximately every 15 minutes from 8.50am
  From: Take the Thornlie Line from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station. The last train departs at 10.52pm.
Fremantle Line To: There will be no direct Fremantle Line services operating before the match.
Take a timetabled Fremantle Line train to Perth and transfer to a train to Stadium Station departing frequently from 8.52am.
