UPDATE: Transperth Bus Network - Industrial Action

Fri 14 Dec - Fri 14 Dec

Latest Update -  Friday 14 December at 6.32am

On Thursday 13 and Friday 14 December the below services will be disrupted at various times due to a work stoppage being undertaken by a number of bus drivers who work for our contractor Transdev.

Due to the nature of the action being undertaken, we cannot confirm which trips will run and which may be cancelled.

However, it is important to note the protected industrial action only relates to a limited number of bus drivers operating out of the Rockingham, Mandurah, Fremantle and Joondalup areas as well as the Perth CAT.

Services operated by Path Transit and Swan Transit remain unaffected.

Services will be disrupted at the following times:

Friday 14 December:

  • From 5.00am until 9.00am
  • From 4.00pm until 8.00pm.

The following routes may be affected:

Perth CAT

The Blue CAT is not expected to run during this time.
The Green CAT is expected to run less frequently.
Yellow and Red CATs will operate, with minimal disruption.

In addition to the above action, from Monday 10 until Sunday 16 December, the collection of cash fares will be also disrupted on some of the above routes.

As this action will only occur on some buses operated by Transdev, passengers are expected to pay a fare where possible when travelling. The majority of bus services, as well as train services are unaffected so passengers should purchase a cash ticket or tag on as normal on these services.

Primary/secondary students are reminded that access to the 70 cent Student Fare is only available by tagging on to the SmartRider system. If paying cash, students must purchase the appropriate zonal concession ticket, as well as provide their SmartRider card as proof of concession.
