School Service Changes

8 September 2024

From Sunday 8 September, there will be changes to some school services across the Transperth network. The following schools will undergo service changes:

Australian Islamic College Kewdale

Route 51

Will undergo time changes and operate additional trips around school times to reduce waiting time for passengers.

Byford Secondary College

Route 254 and School Special 731

  • The School Special 731 morning trip will commence at Lexington Av/Atlantic Rd at 8.20am. Passengers currently boarding on Eleventh Rd or Rowley Rd will need to catch the new school days only Route 249 trip from Armadale Station at 8.00am which will turn into the School Special 731 once it gets to Lexington Av. Passengers do not need to change buses
  • The School Special 731 afternoon trip will commence two minutes later at 3.20pm. At Lexington Av/Atlantic Rd, the bus will turn into a school days only Route 249 trip, arriving at Armadale Station at 4.10pm. Passengers do not need to change buses
  • School Special 731 and Route 254 will no longer operate via Eurythmic Rd and Malarkey Rd and instead operate via Indigo Pky between Malarkey Rd and Briggs Rd with new bus stops located on Indigo Pky.

Bus stops closing:

  • 26569 Malarkey Rd before Pomera Dr
  • 26568 Malarkey Rd after Pomera Dr
  • 26517 Eurythmic Rd before Briggs Rd
  • 26518 Eurythmic Rd after Briggs Rd.

New bus stops:

  • 29251 Indigo Pky after Haflinger Wy
  • 29250 Indigo Pky after Lusitano St
  • 29249 Indigo Pky after Briggs Rd
  • 29252 Indigo Pky after Dellanuova St.

Thornlie Senior High School

School Special 746

Will be withdrawn and replaced with a school days only Route 212 trip departing Thornlie Senior High School/Ovens Rd after Sutherland Dr at 3.15pm arriving at Thornlie Station at 3.26pm.

Saint Norbert College

Route 51

  • The school days only trip from Queens Park Station/Sevenoaks St at 3.27pm will be withdrawn due to low patronage and replaced with a weekdays full length trip from Cannington Station
  • Passengers can catch Route 51 from Wharf St or Route 908 from Queens Park Station/Sevenoaks St and transfer at Cannington Station
  • Route 51 will also undergo time changes and operate additional trips around school times to reduce waiting time for passengers.
