Terms and conditions
  1. Instructions on how to enter form part of these terms and conditions. If there is any conflict between these terms and conditions and any other published material, these terms and conditions are to prevail.
  2. Participants in the ballot will be deemed to abide by these conditions of entry.
  3. Participants agree to make themselves available for publicity purposes.
  4. The Public Transport Authority (PTA) may appoint judges and the judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Participation is open to residents of Western Australia who fulfill the participation
    requirements.
  6. To enter readers are required to complete a coupon and mail it to GPO Box 2978, Perth WA 6800. Facsimiles will not be accepted.
  7. Entries must be received by midday 6 December 2007.
  8. The prize is a ‘money can’t buy’ ride on the inaugural train journey from Perth to Mandurah on the new Mandurah Line.
  9. The winners of both competitions will be drawn at random on Thursday 6 December 2007 at the Public Transport Centre, Perth. For the Inaugural Journey Ballot, the first 100 entries drawn shall receive one double pass and subsequent 50 entries drawn will receive one single pass. For the Mandurah Line Workers Ballot, the first 200 tickets drawn will receive one single pass.
  10. Winners of single tickets must be over 18 years of age. If a winner of a double pass is under 18 years of age, they must be accompanied by an adult who will be considered to have filled the second place of the double pass.
  11. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.
  12. It is the winners’ responsibility to arrange their own transport to and from the event. The journey will commence at Perth Underground Station and finish at Mandurah Station. There is no allocated return journey for winners. Winners will be able to return to Perth on passenger services on the same day free of charge.
  13. The PTA and the judges will not be liable for any losses or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained, in connection with the Ballot, the use of the prize or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of the PTA, the judges or their respective agents, employees and contractors.
