Mandurah Catholic College - School Special changes
Effective: Monday 16 February 2009
From Monday 16 February 2009, there will be changes to afternoon School Specials serving Mandurah Catholic College. School Special 11 to Dawesville West and School Special 16 to Halls Head will be deleted and replaced by new School Specials to cater for heavy passenger loading.

School Special 11
School Special 11 will be withdrawn and replaced by new School Special 747 to Dawesville East.
School Special 747 will operate as follows:
Depart from Mandurah Catholic College at 3.10pm, via right Columbus St, right Mariners Cove Dr, left Bypass/Old Coast Rd, left Sticks Bvd, right Willoughbridge Cr, left Oakleigh Dr, left Wattleglen Av, left Old Coast Rd, left Pleasant Grove Circle, right Nutbush Av, left Branchfield Wy, right Nutbush Av, left Pleasant Grove Circle, left Old Coast Rd, left Duke St, right Merrivale St, right Rees Pl, left Old Coast Rd, right Princeton Dr, right Batavia Av/Westview Pde, U-turn on roundabout at Marine Wy, Westview Pde/Batavia Av, left Princeton Dr, right Old Coast Rd, left Old Coast Rd, left Wilderness Dr, right Fernwood Rd, right Old Coast Rd, U-turn at roundabout to a terminus on Old Coast Rd after Cossack Wy.
Note that the School Special 747 will not serve Dawesville West (Ocean Road Primary School) or areas west of the Old Coast Rd in Falcon.
Students wishing to travel via Dawesville West should use the new additional route 592 service detailed below. The additional route 592 service will reduce journey times for students travelling to Pleasant Grove and Dawesville East and redirect some students onto other services to address current overloading.
School Special 16
School Special 16 will be withdrawn and replaced by new School Special 746 to Seascapes and an additional route 592 to Dawesville West which will deviate to Mandurah Catholic College.
The new School Special 746 will operate as follows:
Depart from Mandurah Catholic College at 3.10pm, via Ravendale Dr, right Columbus St, right Mariners Cove Dr/Leslie St, left Pinjarra Rd/left Old Coast Rd, right McLarty Rd, left Hungerford Av, left Glencoe Pde, right Peelwood Pde to terminate on Peelwood Pde near Seascapes Bvd.
In addition to School Special 746, an additional route 592 service will deviate to Mandurah Catholic College and provide additional capacity for students unable to board the School Special 746 service. The additional route 592 will also provide capacity for students who wish to access areas west of Old Coast Rd in Falcon and Ocean Rd in Dawesville West.
Additional route 592 service will operate as follows:
Depart from Mandurah Catholic College at 3.12pm, via Ravendale Dr, right Columbus St, right Mariners Cove Dr/Leslie St to resume normal route, left Pinjarra Rd, left Old Coast Rd, right McLarty Rd, left Hungerford Av, left Glencoe Pde, right Peelwood Pde, via Merlin St, right Vanessa Rd, left Eldora Cr, right Philante St, left Leander St, left Rotohine St, right Galatea Rd/Corfu Rd, left Thera St, right Yeedong Rd, left Baloo Cr, left Northport Bvd, right Old Coast Rd/Dawesville Bypass, then deviate right Ocean Rd, left Dandaragan Dr to Ocean Road Primary School and Dawesville Catholic Primary School, then via Ocean Rd, right Old Coast Rd, left Dawesville Rd West, to a terminus after Belinda Loop.
All students are reminded that you must move as far down the bus as possible, may not take up two seats or reserve seats for other students. You are required to follow all directions given by your driver.
Students are also reminded that failing to “tag on” and “tag off” the bus with their SmartRider, or failing to travel with a valid cash ticket is fare evasion and you are liable for an on-the-spot infringement of $50. Failing to travel with a valid Transperth ticket results in inaccurate patronage data, limiting Transperth’s response to heavily loaded services.
