Concession entitlements
Primary school students are entitled to concession travel entitlements on Transperth, regional town bus and Transwa services with their Student SmartRider cards. Click here to find out how to obtain your Student SmartRider.
Primary students with Student SmartRiders are entitled to purchase a 50 cent student fare.Regional students can access the 50 cent student fare using their existing ticketing arrangements. Students will pay a maximum of 50c when travelling to or from school on a Transperth bus, train or ferry or on any regional bus service for three hours, regardless of how many zones they travel.
50 cent student fares are valid during the following periods:
- Available from Monday to Friday from the first gazetted school day of the year to the last gazetted school day of the year
- Available during the mid-year school term holiday and on any public holidays that fall from a Monday to Friday during the school year
- Not available on weekends and on any day during the summer school holiday period
Normal concession fares will be charged outside this period, that is weekends and on any day during the summer school holiday period.
