Service Updates

To get where you want to go without the fuss it's important to know of any service disruptions.

East Perth Station Disruptions

As a result of the East Perth Station Upgrade, there will be a series of disruptions from Monday 18 September. Passengers with mobility issues, prams, luggage or requiring ramp access, please be aware of how the following changes might affect you.

East Perth car park closure

The East Parade car park at East Perth Station will be closed from Monday 18 until Friday 29 September. Passengers who park and ride at this station are encouraged to consider alternative options such as walking to the station or checking whether a timetabled bus may be more convenient.

Footbridge closure

The East Perth Station footbridge will be closed from approximately 8pm on Thursday 21 September until the opening of the new concourse on Tuesday 26 September.

During this time, there will also be a closure on the Midland Line with train replacement buses operating. Passengers travelling to or from the west side of the tracks (Public Transport Centre side) will not be able to access the replacement buses on East Parade. Passengers are encouraged to use Claisebrook or Mt Lawley stations instead. 

Alternatively, passengers can access Transperth bus services via Routes 41, 42, 48 and 55 from Lord Street, East Perth. Transwa passengers wanting to access the Transperth network will need to do so at Midland, Armadale or Cockburn stations.

Station access changes

From Tuesday 26 September, following the Shutdown, station access to and from East Parade will be accessible via stairs only. Passengers with mobility issues, luggage, prams or requiring a ramp to access the station, will need to do so from the western entrance, where the Public Transport Centre is located. Pedestrians and passengers unable to use stairs can cross the tracks at either the Graham Farmer Freeway pathway or Lord Street underpass.
