UPDATED: Train service disruptions

Effective: Sunday 14 June 2009

On Sunday 14 June 2009, Transperth train services will be disrupted for an authorised stop work meeting in Perth. Train replacement bus services will pick up passengers at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are disrupted. If possible, passengers are asked to seek alternative transport during this disruption.

Train services will operate as follows: 

Armadale Line

Before meeting:

No Transperth train services will operate on the Armadale Line from first service until after the meeting.

After meeting:

  • To Armadale departing Perth at 11.45am and arriving in Armadale at 12.24pm
  • To Perth departing Armadale at 12.31pm and arriving in Perth at 13.10pm.

A limited train replacement bus service 907 will pick up passengers between Armadale and Perth at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are cancelled.

Replacement bus service 907 will depart Perth from a temporary bus stop on Wellington St just east of the Horseshoe Bridge.

Challis Station passengers should note that due to road works on Railway Ave, replacement bus service 907 will not be able to service this station.

Passengers will need to walk to a temporary rail replacement stop near the corner of Gillam Dr and Railway Ave to board replacement bus service 907 during the disruption.  

Fremantle Line 

Before meeting:

No Transperth train services will operate on the Fremantle Line from first service until after the meeting.

After meeting:

  • To Fremantle departing Perth at 11.45am and arriving in Daglish at 11.52pm
  • To Perth departing Daglish at 12.14pm and arriving in Perth at 12.23pm.

A limited train replacement bus service 906 will pick up passengers between Fremantle and Perth at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are cancelled.

Replacement bus service 906 will depart Perth from a temporary bus stop on Roe St near Beaufort St.

Passengers are reminded that in addition to this stoppage Transperth train services between Fremantle and Daglish will not operate on Sunday 14 June 2009 due to platform upgrade works at Showgrounds Station. Click here for more information. 

Joondalup Line 

Before meeting:

  • Services will not operate to Clarkson from Perth until after the meeting
  • The last service to operate on the Joondalup Line will be to Perth departing Clarkson at 8.27am and arriving in Perth at 8.59am.

After meeting:

  • To Clarkson departing Perth at 11.59am and arriving in Clarkson at 12.31pm
  • To Perth departing Clarkson at 12.42pm and arriving in Perth at 13.14pm.

A limited train replacement bus service 904 will pick up passengers between Clarkson and Perth at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are cancelled.

Replacement bus service 904 will depart Perth from a temporary bus stop on Roe St just east of the Horseshoe Bridge.

Mandurah Line

Before meeting:

  • Services will not operate to Mandurah from Perth until after the meeting
  • The last service to operate on the Mandurah Line will be to Perth departing Mandurah at 8.07am and arriving in Perth at 8.57am.

After meeting:

  • To Mandurah departing Perth at 12.01pm and arriving in Mandurah at 12.51pm
  • To Perth departing Mandurah at 13.07pm and arriving in Perth at 13.57pm.

A limited train replacement bus service 909 will pick up passengers between Mandurah and Perth at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are cancelled.

Replacement bus service 909 will depart Perth from William St at Red CAT stop 16.

This replacement bus service will operate all stations to Rockingham Station, except Canning Bridge Station.

Passengers travelling to Warnbro and Mandurah stations will need to transfer to a Mandurah Bus Charter Service at Rockingham Station.

Canning Bridge Station passengers should note that due to road restrictions, no rail replacement buses will service this station. Transperth recommends passengers board routes 160, 881 or 940 to and from Perth. If travelling towards Mandurah, passengers will be required to travel to Perth on one of the recommended services and transfer to replacement bus service 909 at Esplanade Busport (platform B6). 

Midland Line 

Before meeting:

No Transperth train services will operate on the Midland Line from first service until after the meeting.

After meeting:

  • To Midland departing Perth at 11.45am and arriving in Midland at 12.10pm
  • To Perth departing Midland at 12.15pm and arriving in Perth at 12.40pm.

A limited train replacement bus service 905 will pick up passengers between Midland and Perth at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are cancelled.

Replacement bus service 905 will depart Perth from a temporary bus stop on Wellington St near Yellow CAT stop 24.

Thornlie Line 

Before meeting:

No Transperth train services will operate on the Thornlie Line from first service until after the meeting.

After meeting:

  • To Thornlie departing Perth at 11.37am and arriving in Thornlie at 12.00pm
  • To Perth departing Thornlie at 12.05pm and arriving in Perth at 12.28pm.

A limited train replacement bus service 908 will pick up passengers between Thornlie and Cannington at the train replacement stops near train stations while services are cancelled. Passengers will need to transfer to rail replacement bus service 907 at Cannington to travel to Perth or Armadale.

SmartRider passengers are reminded to tag on and off all services.

Passengers are advised that train services on all lines may resume later than anticipated.

All passengers should allow extra travelling time and be aware that train replacement buses may not connect with normal bus and train services.

Surfboards and bicycles are not permitted on Transperth buses, including train replacement services.
