Armadale and Thornlie Line service disruptions

Armadale Line disruptions 

Transperth Transperth train services between Claisebrook and Perth will be disrupted in the evenings on Monday 30 April and Tuesday 1 May 2007 due to track works at Perth.

During this time Armadale Line train services will stop at stations between Armadale and Claisebrook and will finish and start at Claisebrook Station. The Armadale Line timetable will be different for these evenings.

The last Armadale Line trains to and from Perth on Monday 30 April and Tuesday 1 May evening will be:

  • To Armadale departing Perth at 7.26pm
  • To Perth departing Armadale at 8.02pm.

Armadale train services will resume normal timetabled services with the start of services each morning.

During the disruption, Armadale Line train services will stop at all stations between Armadale and Claisebrook (except Thornlie) and will arrive and depart at Claisebrook Station.

New temporary timetables will apply.

The temporary Armadale Line timetable will be as follows:

From Claisebrook to Armadale

Passengers are advised that the temporary Armadale Line timetabled services may not connect with bus services at stations along the Armadale Line and are encouraged to make alternative travel arrangements during this period.

Train replacement bus service 999 will shuttle passengers between the Claisebrook, McIver and Perth train stations while services are cancelled. Pick up is at the train replacement stops near stations. Passengers should also allow extra travelling time and be aware that train replacement buses may not connect with other normal bus and train services.

Thornlie Line disruptions

Transperth train services between Thornlie and Perth will be disrupted in the evenings from Monday 30 April until Friday 4 May due to track works.

On Monday 30 April and Tuesday 1 May 2007, due to track closures between Perth and Claisebrook after 8pm, Thornlie Line passengers will need to catch the 999 train replacement bus service from Perth to Claisebrook to connect with the Armadale Line train services, then catch the free shuttle service from Cannington to Thornlie.

Please note that Armadale Line services have an amended timetable for this period (see Armadale Line information).

On Wednesday 2 May and Thursday 3 May 2007, due to track work between Perth and Claisebrook after 8pm, Thornlie Line passengers will need to catch the Armadale Line services from Platform 2 in Perth, then catch the free shuttle service from Cannington to Thornlie.

The last Thornlie Line trains on each evening will be:

  • To Thornlie departing Perth at 7.05pm
  • To Perth departing Thornlie at 7.34pm.

A free maxi taxi service will shuttle passengers between the Thornlie and Cannington train stations while services are cancelled. Pick up is at the train replacement stops near stations. Passengers should also allow extra travelling time and be aware that train replacement buses / maxi taxi’s may not connect with other normal bus and train services.

Surfboards and bicycles are not permitted on Transperth buses.
