Central Area Transit (CAT) buses are free. You may get on and off them as often as you like without paying a fare.
CAT stands for Central Area Transit. We use a colour-coding system to identify the different routes each bus takes.
See below for an overview of the Perth, Fremantle and Joondalup CAT services.
Partial Red, Blue and Yellow CATs will operate outside of the below times. Please check the Perth CAT timetable or your stop for more information.
*No service on Christmas Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day.
Travels in an East-West loop from Queens Gardens in East Perth to Outram St in West Perth.
Full services start and end at the WACA, Stop 1 and operate as follows:
Travels in a North-South loop from the Barrack Street Jetty to Northbridge.
Full services start and end at Elizabeth Quay Bus Station, Stop 1 and will operate as follows:
Travels in a loop from East Perth to West Perth.
Full services start and end at Claisebrook Station, Stop 1 and operate as follows:
Travels between Leederville Station and Elizabeth Quay Bus Station via City West, West Perth and St Georges Terrace.
Services departing Stop 1 (Elizabeth Quay Bus Station):

Travels north-south between Fremantle Station and Douro Road.

Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station and travels in an anti-clockwise direction via Lakeside Drive.
Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station and travels in a clockwise direction via Lakeside Drive.
