Plan Your Journey

Mode of Transport

Our JourneyPlanner shows you the best journey result using the bus, train and ferry.

You can change which modes of travel are displayed by clicking on the mode of travel (e.g. bus, train, ferry, school bus). If it’s green then it’s selected to be displayed. If it’s grey then those services won’t be displayed in your JourneyPlanner results.

The school bus option is for dedicated school bus services only. These services are only to be used by students travelling to a specified school. Not all schools are listed as a landmark (e.g. Como High School). If you are not sure of the correct name of the school, enter the suburb name that the school is in and search through the list to find the appropriate school.

Your Journey Options Here

Once you enter your journey details and click 'Plan Journey' you'll see a list of your journey options arranged by leaving time. When you click on your preferred journey option a detailed explanation with a map, transfer and fare information is displayed below.

How to plan a journey

The 'Start' and 'End' fields may be used in several ways:

  1. Enter landmark name (e.g. Carousel Shopping Centre)
  2. Enter the stop number (e.g. 12345) or
  3. Enter a suburb name only (This is not as precise as the options above).

Helpful Hints

  • If the streets are near a suburb boundary, it may be better not to include a suburb name.
  • Landmarks include major destinations in Perth (e.g. shopping centres, schools, churches, train stations, universities and hospitals, etc). Enter these in the suburb field for a quick match
  • Passengers should arrive at the bus stop five minutes early to ensure they don't miss the bus as arrival times can vary slightly due to changes in traffic and road conditions.
