The Ellenbrook Line is now open!

The Ellenbrook Line is now open, adding five new stations to the network. 

Stations along the line include Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park, Ballajura, Noranda and Morley. The new stations will give communities more transport options and links to the Perth CBD, Midland and airport, plus better connections to surrounding suburbs, including the Swan Valley.

Ellenbrook Line

Ellenbrook Line train services operate: 

  • Every 12 minutes during peak times
  • Every 15 minutes during the day 
  • Every 30 minutes during the night

Bus Service

A new bus network has been introduced to efficiently connect surrounding suburbs to the train stations and improve connections through the north-east. 

The new bus network includes significant changes to existing routes. While bus stop signage is being updated, information may be missing for short periods. During this time, please use the QR code on the stop or call the InfoLine on 13 62 13.  

Morley Bus Station 

From 9 December Morley Bus Station at the Galleria Shopping Centre will be renamed to Galleria Bus Station. More information can be found here

Henley Brook Bus Station

Henley Brook Bus Station will close on 9 December. Passengers can connect with services at Whiteman Park and Ellenbrook stations. 

Morley Station

Morley Station is located between Bayswater and Noranda stations, and is approximately 15-minutes from the Perth CBD.

Morley Station features: 

  • Approximately 400 car parking bays
  • Secure parking for 40 bikes
  • Eight new bus routes to the station.

The following bus routes operate to Morley Station: 

  • Route 46 operating between Morley Station and Bayswater Station via Irvine St and Embleton Av, every 36 minutes during peak.
  • Route 47 operating between Morley Station and Bassendean Station via Embleton Av and Collier Rd, every 36 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 352 operating between Morley Station and Galleria Bus Station via McGilvray Av, Noranda Shopping Centre, Benara Rd and Emberson Rd, every 24 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 353 operating between Galleria Bus Station and Ballajura Station via Morley Station and Beechboro Rd North, every 12 minutes during peak. 
  • New Route 354 operating between Galleria Bus Station and Ballajura Station via Morley Station, Bottlebrush Dr and Amazon Dr, every 24 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 356 operating between Galleria Bus Station and Ballajura Station via Morley Station, Bassendean Station and Lockridge, every 12 minutes during peak.
  • Route 950 operating between Morley Station and QEII Medical Centre via Galleria Bus Station, Beaufort St, Perth and UWA, every 3-5 minutes during peak. 
  • New Route 950X operating limited stops between Morley Station and QEII Medical Centre via Galleria Bus Station, Beaufort St, Perth and UWA, every 10-15 minutes during peak.

Noranda Station

Noranda Station is located at Tonkin Highway and Benara Road, between Malaga and Morley stations, and is approximately 18-minutes from the Perth CBD.

Noranda Station features: 

  • Approximately 400 car parking bays
  • Secure parking for 27 bikes
  • A new bus route to the station.

The following bus route operates to Noranda Station: 

  • New Route 350 operating between Mirrabooka Bus Station to Caversham via Cherrywood Av, Widgee Rd and Benara Rd (stopping adjacent to Noranda Station), every 24 minutes during peak.

Ballajura Station

Ballajura Station is located north-east of Tonkin Highway and Marshall Road junction, between Whiteman Park and Noranda stations, and is approximately 21-minutes from the Perth CBD.

Ballajura Station features: 

  • Approximately 1,100 car parking bays
  • Secure parking for 100 bikes
  • 10 new bus routes to the station.

The following bus routes operate to Ballajura Station: 

  • New Route 351 operating between Ballajura Station and Galleria Bus Station via Crimea St, Noranda Shopping Centre, Malaga Dr and Bellefin Dr, every 24 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 353 operating between Ballajura Station and Galleria Bus Station via Morley Station and Beechboro Rd North, every 12 minutes during peak. 
  • New Route 354 operating between Ballajura Station and Galleria Bus Station via Morley Station, Bottlebrush Dr and Amazon Dr, every 24 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 356 operating between Ballajura Station and Galleria Bus Station via Morley Station, Bassendean Station and Lockridge, every 12 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 362 operating between Ballajura Station and Mirrabooka Bus Station via Alexander Dr, Cassowary Dr and Giralia Pkwy, every 12-24 minutes during peak. 
  • New Route 363 operating between Ballajura Station and Mirrabooka Bus Station via Victoria Rd, four trips in each direction during the morning and afternoon peaks. 
  • Route 449 operating between Ballajura Station and Warwick Station via Beach Rd and Marshall Rd, every 12 minutes during peak. 
  • Route 450 operating between Ballajura Station and Warwick Station via Wanneroo Rd, Kingsway, Alexander Dr and Marshall Rd, every 12 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 451 operating between Ballajura Station and Warwick Station via Marangaroo Dr, Alexander Heights Shopping Centre and The Avenue, every 10-12 minutes during peak.
  • New Route 452 operating between Ballajura Station and Whitfords Station via Landsdale, Alexander Heights Shopping Centre and Marangaroo Dr, every 20-24 minutes during peak.

Whiteman Park Station

Whiteman Park Station is located between Ellenbrook and Ballajura stations, alongside Drumpellier Drive, just south of the Whiteman Park entrance, and is approximately 25-minutes from the Perth CBD. 

Whiteman Park Station features: 

  • Approximately 900 car parking bays
  • Secure parking for 40 bikes
  • Six new bus routes to the station.

The following bus routes operate to Whiteman Park Station: 

  • Route 347 operating between Whiteman Park Station and Ellenbrook Station via Partridge St and Woodlake Bvd, every 12 minutes during peak.
  • Route 349 operating between Whiteman Park Station and Ellenbrook Station via Woollcott Av, West Swan Rd and Gnangara Rd, limited weekday service.
  • Route 355 operating between Whiteman Park Station and Galleria Bus Station via Bassendean Station and Altone Rd, every 12 minutes during peak.

Ellenbrook Station

Ellenbrook Station is in the heart of Ellenbrook's Town Centre, located south of The Parkway and west of Civic Terrace, and is approximately 30-minutes from the Perth CBD.

Ellenbrook Station features:

  • Approximately 500 car parking bays
  • Secure parking for 128 bikes
  • 11 new bus routes to the station.

  • Route 310 operating between Ellenbrook Station and Midland Station via Great Northern Hwy, Apple St and Millhouse Rd, every 24 mins during peak.

Travelling with Transperth

New to travelling on our services? Here are some things you’ll need to know.

Ticketing
 

Transperth's two-zone fare cap means that you'll never pay more than a two-zone fare no matter how far you travel. You can use a SmartRider or buy a cash ticket* and both can be used across all Transperth train, bus and ferry services. 

SmartRiders

SmartRider is a reusable smart card which can save you up to 20% off your fare**. They are available to buy at Transperth InfoCentresretail sales outlets and SmartRider Hubs.

SmartRider Hubs have been installed at Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park, Ballajura and Morley stations. SmartRiders are $10 each and you will need to load a minimum of $10 onto the card during the purchase. 

Cash Tickets

These can be purchased onboard buses or from ticket machines at train stations and ferry jetties. 

Every Sunday Free

Every Sunday, travel is free for all SmartRider holders. You will need to tag on and off with your SmartRider but you will not be charged a fare.

Free travel is available on all Transperth bus, train and ferry trips from first service until last service.

Please note that the free travel does not apply to late night services after midnight on Saturday and if you are travelling without a SmartRider then you will need to purchase a cash ticket.

*Please note no change will be given if you pay with cash onboard a Transperth bus. If you must pay with cash, then please pay with the exact money. To find out how much your fare will be please plan your journey on the Transperth JourneyPlanner or visit Transperth fares.

Parking
 

If you are driving to the station you can park for just $2 a day*, Monday – Friday using our SmartParker system. Your ticket is valid for up to 24 hours and parking is free on weekends and public holidays. Visit Parking for more information about SmartParker.

*Please note that there will be no charge to use the car parks at Morley, Noranda, Ballajura, Whiteman Park, and Ellenbrook stations until February 2025.

FAQs

Will the Ellenbrook Line connect to the CBD, Midland and Airport Lines?

Yes, the Ellenbrook Line will provide 21km of new rail line from Ellenbrook to Bayswater, connecting to the Perth CBD, Midland and Airport Lines. 

Is there parking at the new stations?

Yes, parking is available at all five new stations on the Ellenbrook Line.

How do I find out information related to my child's school?

The schools most directly impacted by the Ellenbrook Line opening will be receiving a letter directly from Transperth containing detailed information relevant for each school community. 

For all other schools, please use the Transperth Journey Planner to plan your journey.

Are the new stations on the Ellenbrook Line accessible?

Yes. We design all new infrastructure to be accessible.

Are there accessible toilets at the new stations?

Accessible toilet facilities can be found at all five new stations.  All facilities have been constructed to meet current disability access requirements.

Note that changing hoists are not available.

Will the new stations be staffed?

Yes, all new stations on the Ellenbrook Line will be staffed by either Customer Service and/or Security staff.
