CAT services
The Perth, Fremantle and Joondalup CAT (Central Area Transit) services are free and high frequency services that operate in the Perth, Fremantle & Joondalup CBD.
When you take a Transperth CAT bus trip, you are doing your bit for the environment. Each trip helps to reduce the number of cars on the road, therefore helping to improve the city's air. Brand new Mercedes gas buses have been introduced onto the Perth CAT routes to improve the existing fleet. They can be identified by the Gasbus logo on the side of the bus.
All CATS are colour coded for your convenience and Perth CATs include audio recordings of service times. Simply press the information button at the stop to find out when the next bus is due to arrive. The Perth CAT stops even have real-time passenger information which tells you when the next bus is due. To catch a CAT, just wait at the CAT stop and the driver will stop to pick you up. Click here to view the Perth CAT real time update.
