CircleRoute - Route 98 & 99

Since its introduction in 1999, more people are catching the CircleRoute.

And no wonder - with services every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weeknights and weekends, it’s an easy and comfortable way to get around to Perth shopping centres, universities, schools and colleges.

The CircleRoute has its own unique zone boundaries. The most you will pay for a journey on the CircleRoute is a 2-zone fare no matter how many zones you pass through on your way around the circle. CircleRoute facts

• The 98 bus runs clockwise, while the 99 bus runs anti-clockwise
• The most you will pay for a journey on the CircleRoute is a 2-zone fare
• 28 CircleRoute buses operate on the route
• 90 extra school and university trips operate when required
• It takes three hours to complete one CircleRoute journey
• Around 100,000 passengers use the service every week

CAT services 

The Perth, Fremantle and Joondalup CAT (Central Area Transit) services are free and high frequency services that operate in the Perth, Fremantle & Joondalup CBD. 
    
When you take a Transperth CAT bus trip, you are doing your bit for the environment. Each trip helps to reduce the number of cars on the road, therefore helping to improve  the city's air. Brand new Mercedes gas buses have been introduced onto the Perth CAT routes to improve the existing fleet. They can be identified by the Gasbus logo on the side of the bus.  

All CATS are colour coded for your convenience and Perth CATs include audio recordings of service times. Simply press the information button at the stop to find out when the next bus is due to arrive. The Perth CAT stops even have real-time passenger information which tells you when the next bus is due. Red CAT

The Red Cat travels in an East-West loop from Queens Gardens in East Perth to Outram St in West Perth. The operating times are listed below.

Blue CAT

The Blue CAT travels in a North-South loop from the Barrack St Jetty to Northbridge. Operating times are listed below.

Joondalup CAT

The Joondalup CAT route is a free, high frequency service that operates around Joondalup CBD and educational precinct. Operating times are listed below.

Route 10	Joondalup Station to Joondalup Station via Lakeside Dr (Anti-clockwise).	Operates Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) on a 15 minute frequency from 7.53am to 5.53pm.
Route 11	Joondalup Station to Joondalup Station via Lakeside Dr (Clockwise).	Operates Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) on a 15 minute frequency from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
