Event and ticket information
Melbourne Cup Day will be held at Ascot Racecourse on Tuesday 3 November 2009.
All Transperth tickets (including concessions) are able to be purchased for Transperth bus, train and ferry services. Use your SmartRider for great value fares or choose the ticket that is right for you.
The following Transperth services will operate on the day:
Trains
Timetabled train services will operate on all train lines before, during and following the races.
To event: Thornlie Line services stop at Belmont Park Station between 9.30am and 1.00pm.
From event: Transperth will also provide train services from Belmont Park Station following the event between 3.15pm and 7.35pm.
Buses
Timetabled bus services will operate across the Transperth network.
The CircleRoute buses service Ascot Racecourse, with the 98 travelling clockwise and the 99 anti-clockwise. The service operates every 15 minutes until 6.30pm, with off-peak frequencies thereafter on weekdays.

Shuttle service: Belmont Racecourse to Ascot Racecourse
A shuttle bus will operate between Belmont Racecourse car park and train station, to Ascot Racecourse. The service will operate every 10 minutes from 9.45am until to 12.55pm to Ascot Racecourse and between 3.00pm and 7.00pm from Ascot Racecourse.

These services will operate from Ascot Racecourse to Perth city via Burswood Station, Belmont Station, Perth Station, Wellington Street Bus Station to Esplanade Busport.
