New contactless payment options coming this December

Starting from 8 December you’ll be able to pay for your fare using your Visa or Mastercard, including your digital wallet.

This new contactless payment option provides an easy and convenient way to travel with Transperth.

All contactless payment transactions will be charged at the standard cash fare. If you’re eligible for a concession, you’ll still need to use your SmartRider.

Sundays free travel will apply to contactless payments provided you tag on and tag off with the same card or device.

Contactless payment functionality will be available on all Transperth services from 8 December, with rollout across our regional towns expected to be completed by the end of the year.
