Free travel entitlement extended until the reopening of the Armadale/Thornlie Line. To ensure that your free travel eligibility is extended, passengers will need to tag on and off between Monday 27 May and Monday 3 June. If you are unable to tag on during this time, please call 13 62 13 one day prior to travelling to have your free travel token re-applied.

The State Government announced a free travel entitlement as part of the Armadale/Thornlie Line Shutdown. As a result, we are providing free travel to eligible, regular Armadale/Thornlie Line passengers until the line resumes operation.

Eligible users had a free travel token applied to their SmartRider for free travel until the reopening of the Armadale/Thornlie Line, so there is no need to apply or register for the entitlement.

Passengers will still need to tag on and off services during the free travel period, but will not be charged a fare.

The free travel also applies to Transperth car parks so you can park in any Transperth car park for free. Passengers using Transperth car parks will still be required to park with a vehicle registered to their account and tag on to the SmartParker machine. Failure to do this may result in a fine.

To find out if you are eligible, enter your SmartRider number (located on the top right hand side of your card) below:
