Joondalup Line and Perth Station Escalators
Updated - Friday 12 December 2020
Works are continuing on escalators on the Joondalup Line and at Perth Station.
These works are being undertaken to maintain and bring back into service a number of escalators along the Joondalup Line that were experiencing some issues.
Some of these escalators have been unavailable for a significant amount of time due to the need to replace a critical part, which is now possible. We have come to an agreement with the manufacturer to perform essential maintenance and repair works to rectify these ongoing issues.
Works are continuing as follows:
- Works have been completed on the escalator travelling up from Platform 7 to the Eastern Concourse
- Works have been completed on the escalator travelling up from Platform 5 to the Eastern Concourse
- Works will commence on the down escalators on each platform in the new year.
Works will commence on the escalators at Glendalough Station on Wedesday 6 January and are expected to finish in mid April.
Works will commence on the escalators at Warwick Station on Wedesday 6 January and are expected to finish in mid April.
Are also scheduled to be completed on escalators at Joondalup Station.
Each station will have one escalator unavailable at a time, with these works expected to take at least three months per escalator to complete. This page will be updated with further detail as works progress so check back regularly.
These works are expected to be complete mid-2021.
