Joondalup Line and Perth Station Escalators
Updated - Monday 9 August 2021
Works are continuing on escalators on the Joondalup Line and at Perth Station.
These works are being undertaken to maintain and bring back into service a number of escalators along the Joondalup Line that were experiencing some issues.
Some of these escalators have been unavailable for a significant amount of time due to the need to replace a critical part, which is now possible. We have come to an agreement with the manufacturer to perform essential maintenance and repair works to rectify these ongoing issues.
Works are continuing as follows:
- Works on the escalator at Glandalough Station have been completed and is now back in service.
- Works have commenced on the escalator travelling down from the Eastern Concourse to Platform 7 and will continue until mid-September
- Works have commenced on the escalator travelling down from the Eastern Concourse to Platform 5 and will continue until mid-November.
Are also scheduled to be completed on escalators at Joondalup Station.
These works expected to take at least three months per escalator to complete.
This page will be updated with further detail as works progress so check back regularly.
