Joondalup Line Escalators
Updated - Thursday 2 April 2020
Works are continuing on the escalators on the Joondalup Line.
These works are being undertaken to maintain and bring back into service a number of escalators along the Joondalup Line that had been experiencing some issues. These escalators have been unavailable for a significant amount of time due to the need to replace a critical part, which is now possible. We have come to an agreement with the manufacturer to perform essential maintenance and repair works to rectify these ongoing issues.
Works on the out-of-service escalators at Warwick, Whitfords and Stirling stations have been completed and these escalators have returned to operation.
Works have commenced at Glendalough Station and on the second escalator at Stirling Station.
Works will also be undertaken on escalators at the following stations:
- Perth Station - Platform 5.
Each station will have one escalator unavailable at a time, with these works expected to take approximately three months per escalator to complete. Please check back regularly as this page will be updated with further detail as works progress.
These works are expected to be complete mid 2021.
