Joondalup Line and Perth Station Escalators
Updated - Friday 12 March 2021
Works are continuing on escalators on the Joondalup Line and at Perth Station.
These works are being undertaken to maintain and bring back into service a number of escalators along the Joondalup Line that were experiencing some issues.
Some of these escalators have been unavailable for a significant amount of time due to the need to replace a critical part, which is now possible. We have come to an agreement with the manufacturer to perform essential maintenance and repair works to rectify these ongoing issues.
Works are continuing as follows:
Works have commenced on the escalators at Glendalough Station and are expected to finish in mid April.
Works have commenced on the escalators at Warwick Station and are expected to finish in mid April.
Are also scheduled to be completed on escalators at Joondalup and Perth Stations.
Each station will have one escalator unavailable at a time, with these works expected to take at least three months per escalator to complete. This page will be updated with further detail as works progress so check back regularly.
These works are expected to be complete in 2021.
In addition to the above, there will be works on the escalators a Butler Station from Tuesday 2 until mid-March.
During this time one escalator will be out of use at a time.
