Service Updates

To get where you want to go without the fuss it's important to know of any service disruptions.

Bayswater Station Bus Network

From Monday 22 April, the following route changes will occur to support Bayswater Bus Station.

 

New Route 40 (previously Route 48)

  • Route 40 will operate from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station to Morley Bus Station via Lord St, Guildford Rd and Bayswater Station
  • Services along Francis St, Drake St and Langley St have been retained
  • Route 40 will operate approximately:
    • Every 15-20 minutes during peak periods
    • Every 30-60 minutes during the day
    • Every 60 minutes on weekends and public holidays
  • Bayswater residents should also consider New Route 46 operating along Beechboro Rd South.

 

Modified Route 41

  • Route 41 will operate from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station to Bayswater Station via Lord St, Guildford Rd and Caledonian Av
  • Route 41 will operate approximately:
    • Every 15-20 minutes during peak periods
    • Every 60 minutes during the day
    • Every 60 minutes on weekends and public holidays
  • Maylands residents should also consider Modified Route 42 and New Route 43.

 

Modified Route 42

  • Route 42 will operate from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station to Maylands via Lord St, Guildford Rd, Eighth Av and Peninsula Rd
  • This service combined with New Route 43 will provide a significant frequency boost along Peninsula Rd
  • Route 42 will now terminate at the Maylands Boat Ramp adjacent to the Maylands Police Complex and Maylands Waterland
  • Route 42 will operate approximately:
    • Every 15-20 minutes during peak periods
    • Every 60 minutes during the day
    • Every 60 minutes on weekends and public holidays
  • Maylands residents should also consider New Route 43.

 

New Route 43

  • New Route 43 will operate from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station to Maylands via Lord St, Guildford Rd, Central Av and Peninsula Rd
  • This service combined with New Route 42 will provide a significant frequency boost along Peninsula Rd
  • Route 43 will now terminate at the Maylands Boat Ramp adjacent to the Maylands Police Complex and Maylands Waterland
  • Route 43 will operate daily off-peak deviations to Ninth Av
  • Route 43 will operate approximately:
    • Every 15-20 minutes during peak periods
    • Every 60 minutes during the day 
    • Every 60 minutes on weekends and public holidays
  • Maylands residents should also consider Modified Route 42.

 

New Route 45

  • Route 45 will operate from Bayswater Station to Bassendean Town Centre via Ashfield
  • This service will connect with Midland and Airport Line trains at Bayswater Station with improved transfer opportunities to destinations including Midland, Morley, Perth and Perth Airport
  • Route 45 will operate similarly to former Route 55, but will now operate via Dunstone Rd and Wyatt Rd 
  • Route 45 will operate approximately:
    • Every 12 minutes during peak periods
    • Every 60 minutes during the day
    • Every 60 minutes on weekends and public holidays.

 

New Route 46

  • Route 46 will operate from Bayswater Station to Embleton via Beechboro Rd South
  • Selected trips will extend to Morley Bus Station and Mertome Aged Care 
  • Route 46 will operate approximately hourly on week days
  • Commencing later this year, to coincide with the opening of the Ellenbrook Line, Route 46 will further extend to Morley Train Station.

Route 48

  • Route 48 will be withdrawn and directly replaced with New Route 40.

 

Route 55

  • Route 55 will be withdrawn
  • Passengers travelling to and from Ashfield and Bassendean should consider New Route 45 or  Midland Line train services
  • Passengers travelling via Lord St or Guildford Rd should consider Routes 40, 41, 42 or 43.

 

Route 980

  • Route 980 will undergo minor changes and operate with additional services to address heavy passenger loading.

 

Route 999

  • Additional services will operate:  
    • Departing Ascot at 7.36am, via Bayswater Station at 7.42am, terminating at Morley Bus Station at 7.49am
    • Departing Ascot at 7.43am, via Bayswater Station at 7.49am, terminating at Morley Bus Station at 7.56am
  • The short service departing Bayswater Station at 7.50am will now depart at 8.04am to terminate at Morley Bus Station at 8.11am.

Route 40 to Perth

Route 998 to Fremantle Station

Stand 3

Bus Interchange

Route 45 to Bassendean Town Centre

Stand 4

Bus Interchange

Route 41 to Perth

Route 46 to Mertome Aged Care

Stand 5

Bus Interchange

Route 46 to Embleton

 

Train Replacement Routes 901 and 902 will continue to operate from King William St stops until road works are completed on Railway Av, east of the Bayswater Station precinct.
