Service Updates

To get where you want to go without the fuss it's important to know of any service disruptions.

Bayswater Station Closure

From 29 April until further notice, passengers on the Midland and Airport lines should note that Bayswater Station will be closed to facilitate works for the new Bayswater Station Project. Services will continue along both the Midland and Airport Lines but will be unable to stop at Bayswater Station.

  • Bayswater Station passengers travelling to Perth:
    Passengers are encouraged to use the shuttle bus from Bayswater to Meltham Station 
  • Bayswater Station passengers travelling from Perth:
    Passengers are advised to alight at Meltham Station and use the shuttle bus to Bayswater Station  
  • Midland Line Passengers:
    Trains will continue to service all stations along the Midland Line, except Bayswater Station. 
  • Airport Line Passengers:
    For passengers travelling to Redcliffe, Airport Central and High Wycombe stations, be sure to board the Airport Line train or make any necessary changes to change lines before Meltham Station.

Route 44 Shuttle Bus

A shuttle bus service will be available between Bayswater and Meltham stations. Route 44 will operate from the train replacement stop on King William Street to Meltham Station. This service will operate approximately every 12 minutes during peak periods, and every 15 minutes at all other times. Please note this accessible service is operated by Horizon West. For more information you can view the timetable. 

During planned disruptions to the Midland and Airport lines Route 44 will not operate and will be replaced by train replacement routes 901 and 902.

Due to space restrictions, bicycles are not permitted on Transperth buses, including train replacement services. There are also restrictions on carrying eRideables and scooters on board.

Meltham Station Car Park Closure

From 29 April until further notice, the southern end of Meltham Station car park (located on Whatley Cr) will close, with the exception of ACROD parking. The carpark will be used to temporarily service the Route 44 Shuttle Bus while upgrade works are performed on the usual replacement bus stop.

Passengers who are parking at Meltham Station can park on the Railway Pde side of the station.

Routes 998 and 999 (Circle Route)

Routes 998 and 999 will deviate during this closure, operating via Meltham Station and undergo minor timetable changes to accomodate road closures. You can read more here
