To get where you want to go without the fuss it's important to know of any service disruptions.

January Bus Service Changes

From Sunday 28 January, a number of services across the Transperth network will undergo changes.


School Changes

Specific information about the changes to school services can be found here.

Victoria Park Transfer Station  

Will be renamed Causeway Bus Station.

Routes 51, 230, 233, 253, 423, 441, 540, 541, 542, 561, 574, 584, 585, 586, 907 and 908
  • Will undergo time changes.
The following additional changes will occur:

Route 24
  • Will undergo time changes to weekday services
  • An additional weekday trip will depart East Perth (Point Fraser) at 7.07am, travelling to Claremont Station.
Route 27
  • Will undergo time changes to weekday services
  • An additional weekday trip will depart East Perth (Terrace Rd) at 4.19pm, travelling to Claremont Station.
Route 28

Will undergo time changes to weekday services.  

A number of additional weekday trips will operate as follows:
  • Departing Mooro Dr / Carmelia Av at 7.13am, terminating at Perth Busport at 7.42am
  • Departing Claremont Station at 8.12am on school days only, terminating at Shenton Park Station at 8.53am
  • Departing Shenton Park Station at 3.05pm on school days only, terminating at HBF Stadium at 3.27pm.
  • Surrounding trips will undergo time changes to reduce crowding, with school day trips from Shenton Park Station now departing at 3.00pm, 3.05pm, 3.10pm and 3.15pm.
Route 34
  • Will undergo time changes
  • In response to increasing patronage at Como Secondary College, the trip departing Penrhos College at 3.25pm to Perth Busport will now depart Curtin University Bus Station at 3.08pm.
Route 95

In response to additional enrolments at Bob Hawke College, an additional trip will operate in the morning and afternoon on school days only.
  • Departing Glendalough Station at 8.05am, via Subiaco Station at 8.21am, arriving at Bob Hawke College at 8.31am
  • Departing Subiaco Station at 2.55pm, via Bob Hawke College at 3.00pm, arriving at Glendalough Station at 3.25pm.
Route 221
  • Will undergo time changes
  • Service frequency from Armadale Station will be amended to reflect patronage with service frequency dropping to every 10 minutes during morning peak
  • Service frequency from Kelmscott to Perth will be maintained at present levels.
Route 228

Will undergo time changes and operate additional weekday trips as follows:
  • Departing Maddington Station at 7.30am, terminating at Gosnells Station at 7.50am
  • Departing Gosnells Station at 8.33am, travelling via Maddington Station at 8.46am to terminate at Thornlie Station at 9.07am.
Route 233

Will undergo time changes and operate additional service deviations to St John Bosco College, Harrisdale Senior High School and Carey Baptist College.

These changes are being implemented to reduce crowding and more closely align services with school start and finish times.

Route 245
  • An additional weekday trip will depart Kelmscott Station at 4.51pm, arriving at Armadale Station at 5.15pm.
New Route 249

Will operate between Hilbert and Armadale Station, providing basic travel opportunities for students attending schools within the immediate Armadale region.  

Weekday trips will operate as follows:
  • Departing Lexington Av / Atlantic Rd, Hilbert at 7.08am, 7.28am and 7.45am
  • Departing Armadale Station at 3.25pm, 3.45pm and 5.35pm.
This service is subject to consistent and well supported patronage, with additional services implemented over time as resources allow.

Route 251 and 252
  • Will undergo time changes
  • One weekday morning Route 251 trip will be withdrawn, replaced by one additional weekday morning Route 252 trip.
Route 253

As a result of changes to the Perth Public Transport Area and corresponding changes to orange school bus services, a small number of additional school days only trips on the Route 253 bus service between Jarrahdale, Mundijong, Byford and Armadale Station. The new services will provide for improved travel opportunities to Court Grammar School and Byford Secondary College as well as provide a new travel option for students attending Salvado Catholic College and improved commuter access into Armadale.

Route 307

Route 307 will not operate on Helena Valley Rd between Lomandra Rd and Ridge Hill Rd due to Water Corporation road closures.

The following bus stops will not be in use:

  • 28582 (Helena Valley Rd before Goldsbrough Ent)
  • 28581 (Helena Valley Rd after Lomandra Rd)
  • 24992 (Helena Valley Rd after Scott St)
  • 27821 (Helena Valley Rd before Scott St).

The nearest alternative stops will be:

  • 27794 (Helena Valley Rd after Goldsbrough Ent)
  • 27250 (Helena Valley Rd before Lomandra Rd).

Passengers that transfer between Route 307 and 322 on Helena Valley Rd near Scott St (24992 and 27821) will now need to travel to Midland Station to complete their journey. Passengers are encouraged to plan their journey to accommodate increased travel times.

Due to short notice and printing limitations, these changes will be effective as of Sunday 28 January despite the new Bus Timetable 110 being dated Sunday 4 February.

Route 321
  • Will undergo time changes
  • The trip departing Midland Station at 7.45am on school days will now depart at 7.41am and no longer deviate via McGlew Rd. The trip will continue to deviate via Parkerville, extending to Mundaring Christian School and Mundaring Primary School
  • The trip departing Midland Station at 7.53am on school holidays will no longer deviate via McGlew Rd.
Route 322
  • Will undergo time changes
    
  •   Route 322 deviations and extensions to Helena Valley will be temporarily withdrawn due to Water Corporation work road closures.
    ​​​​​​The following bus stops will not be in use:
     
  • 14924 (Scott St after Helena Valley Rd)
  • 14937 (Scott St after Clayton Rd)
  • 14938 (Scott St before Helena Valley Rd)
  • 24992 (Helena Valley Rd after Scott St)
  • 27821 (Helena Valley Rd before Scott St).

The nearest alternative stops will be:

  • 14925 (Scott St before Melville Ct)
  • 14936 (Scott St after Melville Ct).

Passengers that transfer between Route 307 and 322 on Helena Valley Rd near Scott St (24992 and 27821) will now need to travel to Midland Station to complete their journey. Passengers are encouraged to plan their journey to accommodate increased travel times.

Due to short notice and printing limitations, these changes will be effective as of Sunday 28 January despite the new Bus Timetable 96 being dated Sunday 4 February.

Route 353
  • Will undergo time changes
  • An additional short trip will depart Kiara College at 3.05pm on school days only, arriving at Henley Brook Bus Station at 3.38pm
  • The existing trip departing Bassendean Station at 3.06pm will no longer deviate via Kiara College
  • The weekday trip departing Henley Brook Bus Station at 7.24am will no longer deviate via Discovery Parks in the Swan Valley due to low patronage
  • The weekday trip departing Bassendean Station at 3.20pm will no longer deviate via Discovery Parks in the Swan Valley due to low patronage.
Route 388

Will undergo time changes.

The weekday trip departing Warwick Station at 4.34am will now operate as a short service due to poor patronage.
  • The trip will depart from Wanneroo Rd near Beach Rd at 4.38am, travelling via the normal route to Perth Busport
  • Arrival time through all intermediate timing points and Perth Busport remains unchanged.
Route 425
  • Will undergo time changes
  • An additional trip will depart Warwick Station at 8.40am on school days only, terminating at Carine Senior High School at 8.49am
  • The existing weekday trip departing Stirling Station at 8.29am will extend to Warwick Station, providing additional travel options for Carine Senior High School students.
Route 442
Will undergo time changes and operate additional trips as follows:
  • Departing Stand 2 at Carine Senior High School at 3.12pm on school days only, arriving at Whitfords Station at 3.45pm
  • Departing Warwick Station at 4.31pm, arriving at Whitfords Station at 5.04pm.
Route 460
  • Will undergo time changes
  • An additional weekday trip will depart Whitfords Station at 5.07pm terminating at Joondalup Station at 5.46pm. This additional trip extends the 10 minute service provided during afternoon peak.
Route 502
  • In response to increasing patronage at Melville Senior High School, Route 502 will operate an additional trip on school days only. This trip will operate on a trial basis and requires consistent and well supported patronage to be retained.
  • The trip will depart Bull Creek Station at 7.53am, arriving at Fremantle Station at 8.29am.
Route 517

Will undergo a permanent route change in Southern River.

Services will now operate via the recently completed section of Balfour St in Southern River withdrawing services from Newmerrie St.

The following stops will be relocated:
  • Stop 28313 Newmerrie St after Diego Wy will move to Balfour St before Algerian Wy
  • Stop 28314 Newmerrie St before Diego Wy will move to Balfour St after Algerian Wy.
Route 518

Will undergo time changes and operate an additional school days only trip as follows:
  • Departing Livingston Marketplace at 8.02am
  • Via Carey Baptist College at approximately 8.12am and Harrisdale Senior High School at approximately 8.21am
  • Arriving at Cockburn Central Station at 8.46am.
Route 519

Will undergo time changes and operate additional service deviations St John Bosco College, Harrisdale Senior High School and Carey Baptist College.

These changes are being implemented to reduce crowding and more closely align services with school start and finish times.
  • An additional trip will depart Harrisdale Senior High School at 2.57pm on school days only, arriving at Armadale Station at 3.40pm
  • The existing trip passing Harrisdale Senior High School at 3.10pm and St John Bosco College at 3.19pm will no longer deviate to either school and will instead operate as a normal Route 519 service to Armadale Station.
Route 530

Will undergo time changes.

The trip departing Fremantle Station at 2.26pm on school days only will no longer deviate via Emmanuel Catholic College.

Additional trips will operate as follows:
  • Departing Emmanuel Catholic College at 3.10pm on school days only, arriving at Cockburn Central Station at 3.20pm
  • Departing Cockburn Central Station at 3.26pm arriving at Fremantle Station at 4.21pm.
Route 543
  • Will undergo time changes
  • An additional weekday trip will depart Kwinana Station at 3.54pm, arriving at Kwinana Hub Bus Station at 4.13pm.
Route 544
  • Will undergo time changes
  • The weekday trip departing Kwinana Station at 3.24pm will no longer deviate via The King's College
  • Passengers should instead use the 3.14pm trip, which will now deviate, passing The King's College at approximately 3.26pm.
To provide a more consistent Route 544 service during afternoon peak, the following changes will occur:
  • The weekday trip departing Kwinana Station at 3.54pm will now depart at the earlier time of 3.44pm
  • An additional weekday trip will depart Kwinana Station at 4.04pm arriving at Wellard Station at 4.24pm
Route 600
  • Will undergo time changes
  • Services will no longer deviate to Austin Cove Baptist College Primary Campus due to the closure of the campus.
Route 930

In response to increasing patronage, Route 930 will undergo time changes and operate additional trips in the morning and afternoon peak.

Route 990

Will undergo time changes to weekday services and operate an additional trip as follows:
  • Departing Perth Busport at 7.44am on school days only, arriving at Glendalough Station at 8.03am 
  • This trip will then continue as Route 95, departing Glendalough Station at 8.05am.
Route 998

An additional trip will depart Shenton Park Station at 2.57pm on school days only, terminating at Stirling Station at 3.28pm. 

This trip will initially be untimetabled to allow Transperth to monitor effectiveness and modify if required.

Route 999

An additional weekday trip will depart Stirling Station at 8.06am, arriving at UWA at 8.48am.

This trip will initially be untimetabled to allow Transperth to monitor effectiveness and modify if required.
