School Service Changes - 19 July Sun 19 Jul From Sunday 19 July, there will be changes to some school services across the Transperth network. These changes will be in effect for the start of Term 3. Students intending to travel to school via public transport should: Plan your journey prior to school starting. The JourneyPlanner will be updated with the new school services two weeks prior to school starting. Remember to change the date in the JourneyPlanner to the first day of school and make sure 'School Bus' is selected. Obtain a Student SmartRider or ensure you have exact cash to purchase a ticket, as bus drivers aren't currently giving change. The below schools will undergo changes: Alkimos College Route 491 Will undergo time changes and a route change in Eglinton. The route will be realigned to better serve the catchment area and closer to its long-term alignment following completion of the road network. The route will now serve Heath Av (north of Cinnabar Dr), Cerulean Dr and Leeward Av. Iona Presentation College School Special 701 School Special 701 will now service all stops along the route. The Kings College Route 543 This service will undergo minor time changes Route 544 This service will undergo minor time changes The morning service from Wellard Station, will depart at the earlier time of at 7.57am, arriving at The King’s College at approximately 8.12am. Afternoon services will now depart The Kings College at 3.15pm and approximately 3.20pm to Wellard Station Northshore Christian Grammar School Route 491 Will undergo time changes and a route change in Eglinton. The route will now serve Heath Av (north of Cinnabar Dr), Cerulean Dr and Leeward Av. Perth Modern School School Special 728 New School Special 728 will be introduced on a trial basis operating express between Perth Modern School to Perth Busport The service will depart Perth Modern School (Stop No. 12788) at the following times: 3.35pm, 3.37pm and 3.39pm Monday to Thursday 2.35pm and 2.38pm Friday Route 28 The existing Route 28 service departing Perth Modern School on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 3.36pm will be withdrawn and replaced with new School Special 728. Presbyterian Ladies College School Special 705 School Special 705 will be withdrawn due to low patronage. Rockingham Senior High School School Special 781 School Special 781 morning service from Rockingham Station to Rockingham Senior High School will be withdrawn. Students can use one of the following alternative service Route 550 departing Rockingham Station at 8:02am or 8:08am Route 550 Route 550 will undergo time changes and operate with an additional morning service Route 550 trips in the afternoon will operate at existing times between Rockingham Senior High School and Rockingham Station which continue as either Route 554 to Hillman or 556 to Rockingham General Hospital. Passengers are encouraged to check the front display of the bus to determine which bus continues as Route 554 and which one continues as Route 556. An additional Route 552 trip will depart from Rockingham Senior High School (stop 21198) at 2:54pm to Rockingham Station. Route 552 Route 552 departing Rockingham Station at 8.04am. Students from Hillman should consider Route 554 departing Rockingham Station at 7:49am, which will continue as Route 550 departing Rockingham Station at 8:08am, arriving at Rockingham Senior High School (stop 21198) at 8:23am. Students will not need to change buses at Rockingham Station. Route 556 Students from Cooloongup can catch Route 556 departing Rockingham General Hospital at 7:50am, which will continue as Route 550 departing Rockingham Station at 8:02am, arriving at Rockingham Senior High School (stop 21198) at 8:12am. Students will not need to change buses at Rockingham Station. St Hilda's Anglican School School Special 700 Both morning and afternoon School Special 700 services with be withdrawn due to low patronage. St James' Anglican School Route 491 Will undergo time changes and a route change in Eglinton. Route 491 will now serve Heath Av (north of Cinnabar Dr), Cerulean Dr and Leeward Av. Route 496 Will undergo time changes and a minor route change. Route 496 will now extend to the Yanchep Beach Rd/Greenside Dr roundabout to better serve Yanchep Golf Estate. Yanchep Secondary College Route 496 Will undergo time changes and a minor route change. Route 496 will now extend to the Yanchep Beach Rd/Greenside Dr roundabout to better serve Yanchep Golf Estate.
