2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season

The 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership season kicks off in March and runs until the end of August. 

Games are held at Optus Stadium and travel on all Transperth services is included in your ticket for three hours before and after the event. 

There will also be a North Melbourne home game held at Hands Memorial Oval in Bunbury on Sunday 8 June. Further details about this game including transport options will be released closer to the date.

For Optus Stadium weekend games, direct inbound trains on the Yanchep Line in addition to the Suburban Event Bus Network will operate to get you to and from games. Following the opening of the Ellenbrook Line, direct trains on the Fremantle Line to Optus Stadium will not be running before games.

Additional services will be running, so plan your journey using the Transperth JourneyPlanner before you travel. 

Getting to and from Optus Stadium:

Travelling By Train

To: Take a train to East Perth Station and walk under the Windan Bridge underpass. See a map of the walking route here. Alternatively, take an Airport Line train to Perth Station and change to a Stadium shuttle on the Armadale Line. With the opening of the Ellenbrook Line, Airport Line services will not stop at Claisebrook and McIver stations at certain times on game days. Services will operate express from East Perth Station to Perth Station during these times.

From: Walk under the Windan Bridge underpass to East Perth Station, or take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse. Airport Line services between Perth and Claremont will be cancelled at certain times, depending on when the game finishes. During this time passengers will need to transfer to the Fremantle Line. Airport Line services will also be cancelled between Perth and Bayswater at certain times and passengers will need to transfer to the Midland or Ellenbrook Line.

 
 

To: Armadale Line trains run frequently between Victoria Park and Perth stations, stopping at Perth Stadium Station. 

From: Trains to Victoria Park depart frequently from Platform 6 via the Eastern Concourse at Perth Stadium Station.

 
 

To: Take a train to East Perth Station and walk under the Windan Bridge underpass. See a map of the walking route here. Alternatively, take an Ellenbrook Line train to Perth Station and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station on the Armadale Line. Ellenbrook Line services will not stop at Claisebrook and McIver stations at certain times on game days. To: With the opening of the Ellenbrook Line, direct trains from Fremantle to Perth Stadium Station will not be operating before AFL games. Take a timetabled train to Perth, and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station.

From: Trains depart from Platform 3 via the Western Concourse and travel express to City West then all stops to Fremantle for approximately 60 minutes after the game. If you're leaving early, or after this time, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Fremantle Line. 

 
 

To: Take a timetabled Mandurah Line train to Perth Underground and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station.

From: Take a train to Perth from Platform 1 or 2 via the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Mandurah Line. 

 
 

To: Take a train to East Perth Station and walk under the Windan Bridge underpass. See a map of the walking route here. Alternatively, take a Midland Line train to Perth Station and change to a Stadium shuttle on the Armadale Line. Midland Line services will not stop at Claisebrook and McIver stations at certain times on game days. Services will operate express from East Perth Station to Perth Station during these times.

From: Walk under the Windan Bridge underpass to East Perth Station, or take a train to Perth from Platform 1 or 2 via the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Midland Line. 

 
 

To: Direct trains from Yanchep Station to Perth Stadium Station will be operating before weekend games. Alternatively, take a timetabled train to Perth Underground, and transfer to a train to Perth Stadium Station.

From: Trains depart Platform 4 via the Western Concourse and travel express to Leederville then all stops to Clarkson or Yanchep for approximately 60 minutes after the game. If you're leaving early, or after this time, you will need to take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Yanchep Line. 

Travelling By Bus

Stadium Station Bus Stand Allocations

Important changes: 

Red CAT (West Perth via Perth CBD) will undergo time changes from Sunday 16 March.

Route 650 (Karrinyup Bus Station) will now depart from Stands 20 to 22 at Perth Stadium Bus Station. 

Route 652 (Mirrabooka Bus Station) and Route 653 (Galleria Bus Station) will now depart from Perth Stadium Bus Station. Passengers will no longer need to walk across Matagarup Bridge to catch their bus after the event. Route 652 will now depart from Stand 10 at Mirrabooka Bus Station and Route 653 will now depart from Stand 7 at Galleria Bus Station.

Route 654 will now operate a shorter route between Bassendean Station and Perth Stadium Station. Passengers boarding between Ellenbrook and Bassendean Station can now catch an Ellenbrook Line train.

Please remember: Suburban Event Buses will only operate for 45 minutes after the games.

Armadale/Thornlie Line Passengers

Trains will continue to operate between Victoria Park and Perth stations, including Perth Stadium Station. 

Alternatively, you can catch one of the following event buses to Perth Stadium:

  • Route 651 - Armadale Station via Cannington Station
  • Route 656 - Canning Vale via Bentley Plaza
  • Route 657 - Curtin University Bus Station via Kent St
