The 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership season is underway, with additional services operating for each game. Your footy ticket includes free travel on Transperth services for three hours before and after the game, simply show your ticket to the driver or inspector if asked.

Keep in mind, you must have your ticket on you to travel for no extra cost. If you’re planning on collecting your ticket at the venue, you will need to pay a normal fare to get there.

To ensure a smooth entry into the game, download your ticket to your phone wallet so it's ready to scan at the turnstiles.

Leaving the game early? Remember, direct trains will commence 15 minutes after the end of the game.

Travelling from Perth CBD?

For each game, Red CAT services will extend to Matagarup Bridge - the pedestrian bridge to Perth Stadium. Services will be extended from approximately two hours before the event, continuing until 45 minutes after the event, including during the game. 

Additional Red CAT services will also run, providing a convenient travel option for passengers to and from the city.

Travel by Train | Train System Map

To Optus Stadium
Trains from Perth to Perth Stadium Station will operate every 4 minutes from 4.05pm until 6.33pm.

Trains on the Armadale and Thornlie-Cockburn Line will operate every 12 minutes.

Direct trains on the Yanchep and Mandurah lines will not be operating before the match, as this period overlaps with the weekday peak‑hour timetable when our trains are already in full operation across the network.

Travel early as services will be busy.

From Optus Stadium
All trains to Perth Station will depart frequently from Platform 2 on the Eastern Concourse. Direct Fremantle, Mandurah and Yanchep Line services will be operating, commencing approximately 15 minutes after the end of the game. Alternatively, take the train to Perth, then transfer to another line. 

Trains towards Fremantle will depart from Platform 3 on the Western Concourse.

Trains towards Yanchep will depart from Platform 4 on the Western Concourse.

Trains towards Mandurah will depart from Platform 5 on the Eastern Concourse.

Trains on the Armadale Line towards Byford Station and Thornlie-Cockburn Line towards Cockburn Central Station will depart from Platform 6 on the Eastern Concourse.

Travel by Bus

To Optus Stadium
The Stadium Event Buses will not be operating before the game, as this period overlaps with the weekday peak‑hour timetable when our buses are already in full operation across the network.

Passengers will need to catch a timetabled bus or train to the event. For alternative weekday travel options to Optus Stadium, head to Weekday Stadium Services.

Alternatively, you can catch the Red CAT and walk over the Matagarup Bridge.

 
From Optus Stadium
The Stadium Event Buses will be operating for 45 minutes after the game. Alternatively, you can walk over the Matagarup Bridge and catch the Red CAT.

View your Stadium Station Bus Stand number prior to travelling to Optus Stadium.

If you are travelling before, or after this time, you will need to catch an alternate service to Optus Stadium.

Saturday 18 July: Round 19 West Coast Eagles v Brisbane

Gates open: 4.30pm
Bounce: 6.10pm


Travel by Train | Train System Map

To Optus Stadium
Direct Mandurah and Yanchep Line services will be operating before the game. Trains between Perth and Perth Stadium Station will operate on an approximate 4-minute frequency until 4.41pm.

Trains on the Armadale Line, departing from Byford Station, and Thornlie-Cockburn Line, departing from Cockburn Central Station stop at Perth Stadium Station.

Travel early as services will be busy.


From Optus Stadium
All trains to Perth Station will depart from Platform 2 on the Eastern Concourse. Direct Fremantle, Mandurah and Yanchep Line services will be operating. Alternatively, take the train to Perth, then transfer to another line. Trains will operate on a high frequency from approximately 9.03pm to get you home.

Trains on the Armadale Line toward Byford Station and Thornlie-Cockburn Line towards Cockburn Central Station will depart from Platform 6 on the Eastern Concourse.

Travel by Bus

To Optus Stadium

The Stadium Event Buses will be operating before the game. Buses will arrive at Optus Stadium between 4.10pm and 6.05pm. Use the JourneyPlanner to check the exact times for your journey.

Alternatively, you can also catch the Red CAT to Matagarup Bridge via West Perth and Perth CBD. 

From Optus Stadium
The Stadium Event Buses will be operating for 45 minutes after the game. Alternatively, you can walk over the Matagarup Bridge and catch the Red CAT.

If you are travelling before, or after this time, you will need to catch an alternate service to Optus Stadium.

Friday 24 July: Round 20 Fremantle Dockers v West Coast Eagles

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
