Event and ticket information 

Are you heading to Optus Stadium to watch two of Italy's most historic football teams AC Milan v AS Roma

Your event ticket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours before, during and after the event. Simply show your event ticket to the driver or inspector if asked.

Direct trains and the Suburban Event Bus Network will not operate before the match due to the clash with afternoon peak. Instead, catch a timetabled service to Perth, then transfer to an Armadale Line train service to Perth Stadium Station. Alternatively you can also catch the Red CAT to Matagarup Bridge via West Perth and Perth CBD.

To get you home, the Suburban Event Bus Network will come into operation for 60 minutes after the match, in addition to direct trains on the Joondalup and Fremantle lines.

Travel by Train 

Train System Map

To the event
Trains will operate on a high frequency to get you to the event, with direct trains operating between Perth Station and Perth Stadium Station from approximately 4.19pm. 

There will be no direct trains operating before the event on the Joondalup  and Fremantle lines, instead catch a timetabled service to Perth, then transfer to an Armadale Line service to Perth Stadium Station.

Midland / Airport line passengers should catch the train to East Perth Station and walk over the Windan Bridge or to Perth Station and transfer to an Armadale Line service. Armadale Line trains stopping at Claisebrook and McIver will be busy and may have limited capacity. 

All trains to Perth Stadium Station from Perth will arrive at Platforms 3/4 on the Western Concourse and Platforms 5/6 on the Eastern Concourse.

From the event
Trains will operate on a high frequency to get you home, with the last connecting train departing Perth Stadium Station at approx. 1.21am and the last train departing Perth Stadium at 2.34am.

Direct trains from Perth Stadium Station to Butler or Clarkson will operate for approximately 60 minutes after the event, departing from Platform 4 on the Western Concourse. These services run express from Perth Stadium to Leederville.

Direct trains from Perth Stadium Station to Fremantle will operate for approximately 60 minutes after the event, departing from Platform 3 on the Western Concourse. These services run express from Perth Stadium to City West.

If travelling outside of the direct train times, or on another line, take a timetabled service to Perth from Platforms 1/2 on the Eastern Concourse, then transfer. 

Travel By Bus

Stadium Station Bus Stand Allocations
Please remember: Suburban Event Buses will only operate for 60 minutes after the event.

Important changes: Route 652 (Mirrabooka Bus St) and Route 653 (Morley Bus St) will depart from Matagarup Bridge bus stands. Passengers will need to walk across Matagarup Bridge to catch their bus after the event. 

Route 654 will not be stopping at Stop 15527, 15528 or 26668 for this event due to road closures in the area. Instead, the nearest alternative stop will be Stop 22084 (Marshall Rd before Cheltenham St, Bennett Springs) to Perth Stadium Bus Station and 22083 (Marshall Rd after Cheltenham St, Bennett Springs) to Ellenbrook Shopping Centre. More information can be found here.

Departing frequently, stopping at all designated Red CAT stops.  

From Matagarup Bridge - STAND 1
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.
 
 
From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 15 to 17
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.
 
 
From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 18 to 22
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event. 
 
 
From Matagarup Bridge - STAND 3
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event. 
 
 
From Matagarup Bridge - STAND 4
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.
 
 

From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 12 to 14
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.

 
 

From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 6 and 7
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.

 

From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 10 and 11
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.

 

From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 8 and 9
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.

 

From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 4 and 5
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.

 
From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 1, 2 and 3
Buses will operate for 60 minutes after the event.
 
 

To Stadium Bus Station
Departing frequently between 5.14pm and 6.42pm express to Stadium Bus Station. 

 

Armadale/Thornlie Line Passengers

Trains will continue to operate between Victoria Park and Perth stations, including Stadium Station. 

Due to the clash with the afternoon peak Route 651 will not operate before the match, instead catch Route 907 between Armadale and Cannington Station, then transfer to Route 660 which operates express to Perth Stadium Bus Station. For passengers between Queens Park and Carlisle, catch Route 908 from Cannington to Victoria Park Station, and transfer to a train on the Armadale Line.

Route 651 will come into operation for 60 minutes after the match

Departing frequently between
5.14pm and 6.42pm express to Stadium Bus Station.

 
 
From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 18 to 22
Buses will operate for 45 minutes after the match.
 
 
From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 10 and 11
Buses will operate for 45 minutes after the match.
 
 
From Stadium Bus Station - STANDS 8 and 9
Buses will operate for 45 minutes after the match.

Service Disruptions  

  • Trains on the Airport Line between Perth and Claremont will be cancelled between approx. 8.08pm and 10.43pm.
  • Trains will not stop at Claisebrook and McIver stations between approx. 8.39pm and 11.02pm.
  • The pedestrian crossing on Moore St will be non-operational between 4.15pm and 11.00pm. Pedestrians can use the McIver Station underpass at the east end of the station.
