ANZAC Day 2026

Sat 25 Apr

From the first stop, to the Last Post

Remember our ANZACs at the RSL WA Dawn Service at Kings Park. Due to road closures and limited parking, Transperth will be running additional bus and train services to help you travel to the State War Memorial in Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Travel is free for all veterans and serving personnel wearing uniforms, campaign ribbons or medals on ANZAC Day.

Other passengers will need to use their SmartRider, contactless payments or buy a cash ticket to travel. More information is available on Tickets and Fares.

Please note, bikes may be refused access to busy stations and trains. As always, bikes are not permitted on buses.

Buses

Route 619 to Kings Park will depart from Perth Busport from 4.20am until 5.25am.

Buses to Kings Park will be busy, so we recommend getting into the city and on a bus as early as possible.

After the Dawn Service, buses will return from Kings Park to Perth Busport until 9am. Attendees can board from Stop 10113 (Kings Park Rd Dumas House CAT ID 44) to take the express service back, from 6:40am to 9:00am.

Route 621 will operate within Kings Park between the Vietnam War Memorial and the State War Memorial. The set-down and pick-up location will be on May Drive approximately 80m from the roundabout interesction with Wadjuk Way, between 4.30am and 9.00am. This service will not operate during the Dawn Service between 5.45am and 7.00am.

While buses are accessible, some of the locations that we'll be operating from (e.g. Route 621 within Kings Park) are not accessible.

All other buses will run to a standard Public Holiday timetable, and some deviations will be in place due to CBD road closures. More information will be available closer to the date.

CAT buses will also be impacted due to ANZAC Day, with only the Purple CAT operating.

Details of the ANZAC Day 2026 events are available on the RSL WA website.

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
