Event and ticket information 

Your registration for Chevron City to Surf for genU includes travel on all Transperth services until 3pm. Simply wear your race bib to travel on any Transperth service at no extra cost.

If you're driving to one of our stations, parking is free on weekends and public holidays. For more information, go to Parking.

Plan your journey using the Transperth JourneyPlanner before you travel.

12km participants: From Perth Underground make your way to your designated assembly area using William St or the Murray St/Hay St Malls. 

4km participants: Exit Perth Station to Yagan Square and make your way to Perth Busport, buses to McLean Park, Floreat depart from 6.35am.

To event

Early morning trains will operate to get you to the start line, check your train line below for times. 

Yanchep Line

Trains from Yanchep to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 5.43am until 6.28am. After 6.28am, trains will operate approximately every 8 minutes to get you to the start line. 

Mandurah Line

Trains from Mandurah to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 5.40am until 6.25am. After 6.25am, trains will operate approximately every 8 minutes to get you to the start line. 

Armadale Line

Trains from Byford to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 5.53am to get you to the start line. 

Thornlie-Cockburn Line

Trains from Cockburn Central to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 6.10am to get you to the start line. 

Midland Line

Trains from Midland to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 6.19am to get you to the start line.

Airport Line

Trains from High Wycombe to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 6.18am to get you to the start line.

Ellenbrook Line

Trains from Ellenbrook to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 6.19am to get you to the start line.

Fremantle Line

Trains from Fremantle to Perth will operate approximately every 15 minutes from 6.09am to get you to the start line. Additionally, Airport Line trains will depart from Claremont to Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 6.29am.

Buses

Participants and spectators are strongly encouraged to use the event shuttle buses. 

To event

A shuttle bus service will operate every 10 minutes from Perth Busport to McLean Park, Floreat from 6.35am until 8.25am for 4km participants.This service is express and will only stop at McLean Park, Floreat. 

Shuttle bus services will also travel to City Beach Oval departing every 10 minutes from Perth Busport from 8.30am until 11.00am for those wishing to travel to the finish line. This service is express and will only stop at City Beach Oval.

Please note: Shuttle bus services only operate from Perth Busport. 

From event

McLean Park, Floreat and Perth Busport
From approximately 8.00am, buses will operate for participants to travel from the finish line back to McLean Park, Floreat and Perth Busport. The last buses will depart at 12.30pm.

Please note: The shuttle bus service will operate express from City Beach to McLean Park, Floreat and City Beach to Perth Busport.

Passengers are reminded that all prams must be folded before boarding the bus.

Please note there will be disruptions to Transperth bus services due to road closures for the event.

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
