Christmas and New Year Services

Over Christmas and New Year some of our timetables will be changing as a result of public holidays. Below is a simple breakdown of what services will operate across our network.

 

Christmas Day – Friday 25 December 

Train services

All trains will run approximately every 30 minutes from the following times:

  • Joondalup Line: Departing Perth from 7.23am and Butler from 6.43am
  • Mandurah Line: Departing Perth from 7.23am and Mandurah from 6.29am
  • Midland Line: Departing Perth from 7.00am and Midland from 7.31am
  • Fremantle Line: Departing Perth from 7.00am and Fremantle from 7.25am
  • Armadale Line: Departing Perth from 6.30am and Armadale from 7.15am 
  • Thornlie Line: Departing Perth from 6.45am and Thornlie from 7.01am.

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable, however there will be no CATs running.

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate as follows:

 

Departing Elizabeth Quay Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.30am and 9.30pm.

Departing Mends St Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.45am and 9.45pm.

 

Boxing Day – Saturday 26 December

Train services

Train services will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable with late night trains departing Perth.

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable. Perth and Fremantle CATs are running on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable, however the Joondalup CAT is not running.

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate on a Summer Sunday/Public Holiday timetable. 

 

 

Sunday 27 and Monday 28 December

 

Train services

Train services will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable.

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable. Perth and Fremantle CATs are running on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable, however the Joondalup CAT is not running.

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate on a Summer Sunday/Public Holiday timetable.

 

 

New Year’s Eve – Thursday 31 December

 

Train services

Train services will operate on a weekday timetable. More information on late night services will be available closer to the date. 

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a weekday timetable, with all CATs operating. Find out more about the late night services

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate every 15 minutes until 11pm, then every 30 minutes until 1am. 

 

 

New Year’s Day – Friday 1 January

 

Train services

Train services will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable with late night trains departing Perth.

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable. Perth and Fremantle CATs are running on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable, however the Joondalup CAT is not running. 

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate on a Summer Sunday/Public Holiday timetable.
