Remembrance Day 2026

Wed 11 Nov

Commemorate Australian service personnel this Remembrance Day.

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Australians pause for one minute of silence to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for their country.

Travel will be free for all veterans, serving Australian Defence Force personnel, and members of the public wearing military medals or a service uniform on Remembrance Day.

All other passengers will need to use their SmartRider, contactless payments or buy a cash ticket to travel. More information is available on Tickets and Fares.

Details of the Remembrance Day 2026 events are available on the RSL WA website.

For more information, call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 (TIS: 13 14 50). Hearing or speech impaired? Call via NRS 133 677 and ask for 13 62 13.

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
