Christmas and New Year Services 2018-19

See below details of services operating throughout the Christmas and New Year period.

 

Days not mentioned below will run as normal.

 

Christmas Day – Tuesday 25 December 2018

Train services

All trains will run approximately every 30 minutes from the following times:

  • Joondalup Line: Departing Perth from 7.23am and Butler from 6.43am
  • Mandurah Line: Departing Perth from 7.23am and Mandurah from 6.29am
  • Midland Line: Departing Perth from 7.30am and Midland from 8.00am
  • Fremantle Line: Departing Perth from 6.57am and Fremantle from 7.30am
  • Armadale Line: Departing Perth from 6.30am and Armadale from 7.15am 
  • Thornlie Line: Departing Perth from 6.45am and Thornlie from 7.01am.

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable, however there will be no CATs running.

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate as follows:

 

Departing Elizabeth Quay Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.30am and 9.30pm.

Departing Mends St Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.45am and 9.45pm.

 

Boxing Day – Wednesday 26 December 2018

Train services

Train services will operate on a Public Holiday timetable.

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable. Perth and Fremantle CATs are running, however the Joondalup CAT is not running.

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate as follows:

 

Departing Elizabeth Quay Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.30am and 10.00am, then a 15-minute frequency until 9.30pm. 

Departing Mends St Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.45am and 10.15am, then a 15-minute frequency until 9.45pm.

 

New Year’s Eve – Monday 31 December 2018

 

Train services

Trains will operate on a weekday timetable with additional services operating on all lines before and after midnight. Check the JourneyPlanner for more information. 

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a weekday timetable with additional services on selected routes before and after midnight. CATs are running to normal weekday timetable.

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate as follows:

 

Departing Elizabeth Quay Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 6.30am - 7.15am and 11.00pm - 1.00am, and a 15-minute frequency between 7.15am and 11.00pm.

Departing Mends St Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.45am - 11.15am and 11.15pm - 1.15am, and a 15-minute frequency between 11.15am and 11.15pm.

 

Passengers are reminded as this New Year’s Eve falls on a Monday, free late-night train travel does not apply. Passengers will need to tag on with their SmartRider or purchase a ticket to travel as normal. 

 

New Year’s Day – Tuesday 1 January 2019

 

Train services

Train services will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable.

 

Bus services

Buses will operate on a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable. Perth and Fremantle CATs are running, however the Joondalup CAT is not running. 

 

Ferry services

Ferries will operate as follows:

 

Departing Elizabeth Quay Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.30am and 10.00am, then a 15-minute frequency until 9.30pm.

Departing Mends St Jetty - 30-minute frequency between 7.45am and 10.15am, then a 15-minute frequency until 9.45pm.
