Fringe World Festival 2021

Perth has come alive again with annual, summer celebration, FRINGE WORLD Festival 2021 which runs from Friday 15 January to Sunday 14 February.

Take a break from driving and take Transperth to one of the many festival hubs located a short walk from frequent bus and train services. Parking is also free at all our stations.

Woodside Pleasure Garden
Russell Square on James St

Trains
Catch a Joondalup, Mandurah, Fremantle, Midland or Armadale line train into Perth or Perth Underground stations and walk to Russell Square.

Monday-Friday:
Trains on all lines operate to Perth every 15 minutes until around 8.30pm (Armadale/Thornlie until 7.30pm) Monday – Friday, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Saturdays:
Trains operate approximately every 15 minutes until 7.00pm on Armadale/Thornlie lines, 8.00pm on Joondalup/Mandurah lines and 8.30pm on Fremantle/Midland lines, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Sundays and Public Holidays:
Trains operate approximately every 15 minutes until around 7pm (Fremantle/Midland until 8.30pm), then every 30 minutes until around midnight. Note: Thornlie line runs at a 30 minute frequency all day on Sundays.

Buses
Take the Blue CAT from outside Perth Station to Russell Square, stopping along James St or Shenton St. Alight at Stop 10 for Russell Square.

The Blue CAT operates from Beaufort St Bridge, Stop 4, during the following times:
Monday to Friday
6.50am - 6.52pm approximately every 8 minutes
7.00pm – 12.15am approximately every 15 minutes (Fridays only)

Saturday
8.36am - 6.36pm approximately every 10 minutes
6.51pm - 11.51pm approximately every 15 minutes

Sunday and Public Holidays
8.36am - 6.26pm approximately every 10 minutes

Alternatively, take any bus to Perth Busport which is a 10 minute walk from the Pleasure Garden.

The Rechabite

Trains

Catch a Joondalup, Mandurah, Fremantle, Midland or Armadale line train into Perth or Perth Underground stations and walk across the overpass to the Cultural Centre.

Monday-Friday:
Trains on all lines operate to Perth every 15 minutes until around 8.30pm (Armadale/Thornlie until 7.30pm) Monday – Friday, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Saturdays:
Trains operate approximately every 15 minutes until 7.00pm on Armadale/Thornlie lines, 8.00pm on Joondalup/Mandurah lines and 8.30pm on Fremantle/Midland lines, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Sundays and Public Holidays:
Trains operate approximately every 15 minutes until around 7pm (Fremantle/Midland until 8.30pm), then every 30 minutes until around midnight. Note: Thornlie line runs at a 30 minute frequency all day on Sundays.

Buses

There is a Blue CAT stop (Stop 6 – Art Centre) near the corner of William St and Aberdeen St, right next to the venue.

The Blue CAT operates during the following times:

7.00pm – 12.15am approximately every 15 minutes (Fridays only)

Saturday
8.36am - 6.36pm approximately every 10 minutes

MAGIC NATION
Metro City Concert Club 

Metro City Concert Club is located on Roe St — a 5-10 minute walk from the Perth Busport and Perth Station, which is serviced by any Transperth bus or train travelling into the city. 

Laugh Resort
Yagan Square

Yagan Square is located in between Perth Busport and Perth Station. Virtually any Transperth bus or train into the city will drop you at the doorstep.

Aces at The Maj
His Majesty’s Theatre

Trains
Catch a Joondalup, Mandurah, Fremantle, Midland or Armadale line train into Perth or Perth Underground stations. From here, take a 6-7 minute walk to the Theatre on Hay Street or catch the Red CAT which stops outside His Majesty’s (Stop 13).

Monday-Friday:
Trains on all lines operate to Perth every 15 minutes until around 8.30pm (Armadale/Thornlie until 7.30pm) Monday – Friday, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Saturdays:
Trains operate approximately every 15 minutes until 7.00pm on Armadale/Thornlie lines, 8.00pm on Joondalup/Mandurah lines and 8.30pm on Fremantle/Midland lines, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Buses
Take any bus to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station which is a 5-6 minute walk away or to Perth Busport which is a 6-7 minute walk away.

Alternatively, catch any bus stopping along St Georges Tce and walk down King St to His Majesty’s, or the Red CAT to Hay St (Red CAT Stop 13 – His Majesty’s) Theatre.

The Red CAT operates during the following times:
Monday to Friday
6.00am - 6.50pm approximately every 5 minutes
7.30pm - 8.45pm every 10/15 minutes (Fridays only)
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
8.30am - 6.50pm approximately every 10 minutes

Downtown Independent
Belgian Beer Cafe and Rubix Bar 

 

Trains
Catch a Joondalup, Mandurah, Fremantle, Midland or Armadale line train into Perth or Perth Underground stations and take a short walk along Murray St to the Belgian Beer Cafe and Rubix Bar. 

Monday-Friday:
Trains on all lines operate to Perth every 15 minutes until around 8.30pm (Armadale/Thornlie until 7.30pm) Monday – Friday, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Saturdays:
Trains operate approximately every 15 minutes until 7.00pm on Armadale/Thornlie lines, 8.00pm on Joondalup/Mandurah lines and 8.30pm on Fremantle/Midland lines, then every 30 minutes until around midnight.

Sundays and Public Holidays:

Buses 
Take any bus to Perth Busport which is a 4-5 minute walk away or to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station which is a 9-10 minute walk away.

East Perth

Girls School
2 Wellington St, East Perth

We will be operating a free FRINGE CAT between Perth Station and the Girls School during the Festival. 

The FRINGE CAT will operate from Perth Busport to the Girls School every 15 minutes from the following times:

- 7.00pm to 9.45pm from Perth Busport
- 7.15pm to 11.15pm from Girls School (and until 12.30am on Friday and Saturday nights)

Alternatively, you can take Route 960 from Perth Busport to the Girls School.

Subiaco

Various locations around Subiaco

Many Subiaco venues are located within an easy walking distance from Subiaco Station which is on the Fremantle train line. Trains to Subiaco operate approximately every 15 minutes until 8.30pm, then every 30 minutes until midnight.

Fremantle

Trains
Catch a Fremantle Line train which runs approximately every 15 minutes until 8.30pm, then every 30 minutes until midnight. 

Please note, from Friday 5 Feburary to Monday 5 April, there will be major impacts to services on the Fremantle Line between Showgrounds and Fremantle stations.

Buses
There are also a number of frequent bus services that operate in the area, including high frequency routes 910, 998 and 999 and the free Fremantle CAT.

The Fremantle Blue CAT operates during the following times:
Monday to Thursday
7.25am - 6.25pm approximatley every 20 minutes
Friday
7.25am - 7.45pm approximately every 20 minutes
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
10.00am - 6.20pm approximately every 20 minutes
