Optus Stadium

Your ticket to the Test Cricket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours either side of the event. If asked, proudly show off your ticket to the driver or inspector. 

Keep in mind you must have your ticket on you to travel for no extra cost. If you’re planning on collecting your ticket at the venue, you will need to pay a normal fare to get there.

Getting to and from Optus Stadium

Transperth has developed an integrated public transport plan to connect event-goers with the Perth CBD and wider metropolitan area. A map of the Optus Stadium precinct centre can be found here

The suburban event bus network will not be operating for this event. 

Travel by Bus 

Route   
661 To Matagarup Bridge Bus Stands (East Perth) – Route 661 operates as a circular route via Wellington St, Milligan St and St Georges/ Adelaide Tce.  
Buses will operate every 3 - 10 minutes between 8am - 10am before the day's play. Passengers will need to walk across Matagarup Bridge to get to Optus Stadium.

Buses will operate for one hour after play from Matagarup Bridge Bus Stands (on the East Perth side of the bridge).

Travel by Train 

Armadale Line To: Take an Armadale Line train straight to Perth Stadium Station. Trains stopping at Stadium Station will depart Armadale Station approximately every 15 minutes from 5.10am. 
  From: Trains to Armadale will stop at Stadium Station until 8.37pm. Trains will depart from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse.
Thornlie Line To: Take a Thornlie Line train straight to Perth Stadium Station. Trains stopping at Stadium Station will depart Thornlie Station approximately every 15 minutes from 5.17am.
  From: Trains to Thornlie will stop at Stadium Station until 8.22pm. Trains will depart from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse.

Fremantle Line

To: Take a Fremantle Line train to Perth and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.20am.
  From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Fremantle Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 8.34pm.
Joondalup Line To: Take a Joondalup Line train to Perth Underground and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.20am.
  From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Joondalup Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 8.34pm.
Mandurah Line To: Take a Mandurah Line train to Perth Underground and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.20am.
  From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Mandurah Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 8.34pm.
Midland Line To: Take a Midland Line train to East Perth Station and walk over the Windan Bridge. See a map of the walking route here.
Alternatively, take a Midland Line train to Perth and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.20am.
  From: Walk over the Windan Bridge to East Perth Station, or take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse, and transfer to the Midland Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 8.34pm.

Service Disruptions

Some services will be affected on Optus Stadium event days. 

  • The pedestrian and level crossing on Moore St will be non-operational between 9.00am and 8.00pm. Pedestrians can use the McIver Station underpass at the east end of the station.

Saturday 15 December

Thornlie Line To: Take a Thornlie Line train straight to Perth Stadium Station. Trains stopping at Stadium Station will depart Thornlie Station approximately every 15 minutes from 5.46am.
  From: Take the Armadale Line to connect with train replacement buses (Route 908), operating between Thornlie and Cannington Stations. There will be no trains to Thornlie from Perth between 4.37pm and 7.47pm. The last train to Thornlie departs Stadium Station at 9.22pm. 

Fremantle Line

To: Direct specials depart Fremantle approximately every 15 minutes between 8.20am and 9.20am.
Alternatively, take a timetabled Fremantle Line train to Perth Station and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.30am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 3 via the Western Concourse and travel express to City West then all stops to Fremantle between 5.46pm and 6.45pm. If you're leaving early you will need to take a Perth train shuttle from the Eastern Concourse. 
After 6.45pm take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Fremantle Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 12.49am.
Joondalup Line To: Direct specials depart Butler approximately every 15 minutes between 7.35am and 9.20am.
Alternatively, take a timetabled Joondalup Line train to Perth Underground and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.30am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 4 via the Western Concourse and travel express to Leederville then all stops to Butler between 5.50pm and 6.51pm, with some services terminating at Clarkson. If you're leaving early you will need to take a Perth train shuttle from the Eastern Concourse. 
After 6.51pm take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Joondalup Line. The last connecting train departs Stadium Station at 12.49am.
Mandurah Line To: Take a Mandurah Line train to Perth Underground and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.30am.
  From: Take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Mandurah Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 12.49am.
Midland Line To: Take a train to East Perth Station and walk over the Windan Bridge. See a map of the walking route here.
Alternatively, take a Midland Line train to Perth and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 5.30am.
  From: Walk over the Windan Bridge to East Perth Station, or take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse, and transfer to the Midland Line. The last connecting train departs Perth Stadium Station at 12.49am.

  • Thornlie Line trains will be cancelled between 4.37pm and 7.47pm. Passengers can take the Armadale Line to connect with train replacement buses, operating between Thornlie and Cannington stations.
  • Trains on the Armadale and Midland lines will not stop at Claisebrook or McIver stations between approximately 5.32pm and 7.16pm. Train replacement buses will be operating during this time. Route 905 runs on a 10-minute frequency between Perth Busport and East Perth Station, stopping at Claisebrook, McIver and Perth stations and at Wellington St after Forrest Pl (Stop 12924).

Sunday 16 December

  From: Trains to Thornlie will stop at Stadium Station until 8.52pm. Trains will depart from Platform 5/6 via the Eastern Concourse.

Fremantle Line

To: Direct specials depart Fremantle approximately every 15 minutes between 8.52am and 9.20am.
Alternatively, take a timetabled Fremantle Line train to Perth Station and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 6.30am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 3 via the Western Concourse and travel express to City West then all stops to Fremantle between 5.47pm and 6.32pm. If you're leaving early you will need to take a Perth train shuttle from the Eastern Concourse. 
After 6.32pm take a train to Perth from the Eastern Concourse and transfer to the Fremantle Line. The last connecting train departs Stadium Station at 11.49am.
Joondalup Line To: Direct specials depart Butler approximately every 15 minutes between 8.19am and 9.17am.
Alternatively, take a timetabled Joondalup Line train to Perth Underground and change to a train to Stadium Station departing Perth approximately every 15 minutes from 6.30am.
  From: Trains depart Platform 4 via the Western Concourse and travel express to Leederville then all stops to Butler between 5.50pm and 6.20pm, with some services terminating at Clarkson. If you're leaving early you will need to take a Perth train shuttle from the Eastern Concourse.

Route 905 runs on a 10-minute frequency between Perth Busport and East Perth Station, stopping at Claisebrook, McIver and Perth stations and at Wellington St after Forrest Pl (Stop 12924).

Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 December

No event buses will be operating for this event.
