Service Changes

With the re-opening of the Armadale Line and the opening of Byford Station on Monday 13 October, there will be a number of changes to bus and train services across the Transperth network.

Passengers are strongly encouraged to plan their journey prior to travelling and not assume that their service will be operating as it has previously.

You can plan your journey using the JourneyPlanner or the App, please note that you can only plan your journey up to six weeks in advance.

You can find a summary of information on upcoming changes to your train, bus and school services below. Please be aware that while bus stop signage is being updated, information may be missing for short periods. During this time, please use the QR code on the stop or call the InfoLine on 13 62 13.

Trains

Armadale Line

Armadale Line services will operate between Perth and Byford stations.

Beckenham passengers can take an Armadale or Thornlie-Cockburn line train between Perth and Beckenham stations.

There will be changes to Optus Stadium special event services.

From Mt Nasura

Students travelling from Mt Nasura should consider Existing Route 220 departing Perth Busport at 7.15am. This bus travels all stops via Albany Hwy passing the Armadale Health Service at 8.16am to Armadale Station, before extending express to Armadale Senior High School terminating inside school grounds in the bus area adjacent to the school ovals. Provided students board the service identified immediately above, they are not required to transfer buses at Armadale Station.

From Mt Richon

Students travelling from Mt Richon should consider Modified Route 251 departing Byford Station (Stand 2) at 7.49am, 8.04am and 8.19am. These buses travel all stops via South Western Hwy dropping students on South Western Hwy adjacent to the school.

From Mundijong

Students travelling from Mundijong should consider New Route 262 departing Kingsbury Dr, Jarrahdale (Stop no. 27109) at 7.05am. This bus travels all stops via Paterson St, Mundijong (Stop no. 23912 at 7.25am) to Byford Station arriving at 7.46am. This bus then continues as Modified Route 251 departing Byford Station (Stand 2) at 7.49am which travels via South Western Hwy to Armadale Senior High School dropping students adjacent to the school. Provided students board the service identified immediately above, they are not required to transfer buses at Byford Station.

From Whitby

Students travelling from Whitby should consider New Route 262 departing Kingsbury Dr, Jarrahdale (Stop no. 27109) at 7.05am. This bus travels all stops via Keirnan St, Whitby (7.28am) to Byford Station arriving at 7.46am. This bus then continues as Modified Route 251 departing Byford Station (Stand 2) at 7.49am which travels via South Western Hwy to Armadale Senior High School dropping students adjacent to the school. Provided students board the service identified immediately above, they are not required to transfer buses at Byford Station.

From Wungong

Students travelling to Jarrahdale should consider Modified Route 251 departing Armadale Senior High School (Stand 2) at 3.00pm. This bus travels express to Armadale Station, then all stops via South Western Hwy to Byford Station. This bus then continues as New Route 262 to Jarrahdale at 3.27pm. This bus travels all stops to Jarrahdale, deviating via Salvado Catholic College, Byford Secondary College and The Chestnuts Estate. Provided students catch the service identified immediately above, they are not required to transfer buses at Byford Station. Note that the earlier 251 service departing Armadale Senior High School at 2.57pm does NOT continue as Route 262 to Jarrahdale.

To Thornlie

New Route 201 departs Lynwood Senior High School (Stand 3) at approximately 3.00pm and 3.04pm. This bus travels all stops via High Rd to Nicholson Road Station. Students should note that the 3.04pm trip departing Lynwood Senior High School continues from Nicholson Road Station as Route 210 to Maddington Station via Garden St and Warton Rd. Students who board the 3.04pm trip are not required to change buses at Nicholson Road Station. Alternatively, students can transfer to Thornlie-Cockburn Line train services to Thornlie Station
Modified School Route 749 departs Lynwood Senior High School (Stand 2) at 2.58pm, 3.01pm, 3.03pm and 3.07pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 2.40pm, 2.43pm, 2.46pm and 2.50pm on Wednesday. This bus travels all stops via Brookman Av to Thornlie Station. Students are strongly encouraged to make their way to buses straight after the school bell and board the first available departure. In order to accommodate all students, buses are required to carry standing passengers. Not all students can be accommodated on the last bus.

To Mt Nasura

Students travelling to Mt Nasura should consider Existing Route 220 departing Armadale Senior High School (Stand 3) at 2.57pm. This bus travels express to Armadale Station, then all stops via Albany Hwy to Perth Busport.
