Event information

Take Transperth to the 2026 AusCycling Road National Championship, the sporting event that brings Australia's top cyclists and para-cyclists together to compete for the coveted green and gold national championships jersey here in Perth. The championship event consists of different events on different days across Perth.

Important InformationTo ensure public safety there will be road closures and restricted access areas in place across the courses. Please visit the event organiser's website which outlines the key road closure locations and timing per day that closures will be in place to facilitate the event.

Important ticket information

To travel on any Transperth service, you need to purchase a ticket, use your SmartRider or contactless payments. If you are travelling to the event on Sunday, you can make use of Travel Free Sunday with a valid SmartRider or contactless payments to get you to and from the event.

Travelling to and from the event
Please note, no bikes, manual or powered, are allowed on board a bus, including train replacement buses unless:

  • It is folded, and placed in an appropriately designed, fit for purpose carry bag*
  • When folded the maximum dimensions are no more than 120cm x 68cm x 40cm.

If you're driving to one of our stations parking is free on weekends and public holidays, if your event is on a weekday, you will still need to pay for parking. For more information click here

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
