Heading to Fremantle for the Fremantle International Street Arts Festival between Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April? 

To travel on any Transperth service, you need to purchase a ticket. From 1 January 2026 our Go Anywhere Fare allows network wide travel for up to three hours for $2.80 using a SmartRider with Autoload or $3.50 using cash or contactless payments. Please refer to Tickets and Fares for more information.

Every Sunday, travel is free for all SmartRider and contactless payment travellers. Just remember to tag on and off as you normally would, but notice that your fare is free no matter how far you travel.

To event

To get to the event, catch the train to Fremantle Station on the Fremantle Line. Trains will depart Perth Station approximately every 15 minutes.

From event

After the event, timetabled services on the Fremantle Line will depart from Fremantle Station to Perth Station. 

Buses

Timetabled services will operate across the Transperth network. Please note, there will be no additional bus services at suburban stations for connections with the extra train services being provided.

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
