Event and ticket information

Step into a winter wonderland as Lightscape returns to Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Regular timetabled services and a free express shuttle service provide direct access from Perth CBD to Kings Park.

The main entrance to Lightscape is Yorkas Nyinning building in Kings Park, just a short walk from Stop 17384 on Wadjuk Way.

If you're driving to one of our stations parking is free on weekends and public holidays, if your event is on a weekday you will still need to pay for parking. For more information click here.

To event
 

There are plenty of buses to get you from the Perth CBD to Kings Park.

A free express shuttle service, Route 620 will operate from Perth Busport to Kings Park:

  • Tuesday (during school holidays only), Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday every 15 minutes between 6pm and 9.15pm
  • Friday and Saturday every 8 minutes between 6pm and 9.45pm.

Route 935 operates operates to Kings Park via Adelaide Tce and St Georges Tce: 

  • Weeknights every 15 minutes from Causeway Bus Station until approximately 9.32pm, then approximately every 30 minutes until 12.15am
  • Saturday every 15 minutes from Causeway Bus Station until approximately 9.33pm, then approximately every 30 minutes until 12.14am 
  • Sunday every 15 minutes from Causeway Bus Station until approximately 6.33pm, then approximately every 30 minutes until 11.16pm.

​​In addition to the shuttle bus service and Route 935, the Blue CAT travels between Kings Park (CAT ID 26) and Perth Busport, via Elizabeth Quay Bus Station. The Blue CAT will operate to Kings Park as follows: 

  • Weeknights and Saturday departing Elizabeth Quay Bus Station until 7.04pm
  • Sunday departing Elizabeth Quay Bus station until 7.09pm.

From event
 

A free express shuttle service, Route 620 will operate from Kings Park to Elizabeth Quay Bus Station Stop 12196 (Elizabeth Quay Stand E5):

  • Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday every 15 minutes between 6.13pm and 9.58pm.
  • Friday and Saturday every 7-8 minutes between 6pm and 9.45pm.

Route 935 operates from Kings Park via St Georges and Adelaide Terrace: 

  • Weeknights every 15 minutes until approximately 10.18pm, then approximately 30 minutes until 12.32am
  • Saturday every 15 minutes until approximately 10.41pm, then approximately 30 minutes until 12.35am
  • Sunday every 15 minutes until approximately 7.19pm and then every 30 minutes until 11.37pm.

In addition to the above shuttle bus service and Route 935, the Blue CAT travels between Kings Park (CAT ID 26) and Perth Busport, via Elizabeth Quay Bus Station. The Blue CAT will depart Kings Park every 15 minutes until 7.24pm.

Included travel for events

Some event organisers and venues include Transperth travel to and from the event in their ticket price. In some cases, event organisers may also arrange for us to provide additional bus or train services for people attending the event.

If you are going to an event, please check the travel options and plan your journey in advance to avoid inconvenience on the day. If your event is joint ticketed, you are entitled to travel on any Transperth service for three hours before, during and three hours after the event, or until end of service, whichever occurs first.

Please note paid parking has been extended to include all parking bays at Transperth train stations. This means when you park at a Transperth train station it will cost you $2 a day, or for any part of, between 5am and 9pm on weekdays. If your event is joint ticketed and you plan to park at a train station, you will need to use the Pay 'n' Display option to pay for parking. See Paid Parking for more information.
